if a baby (let´s call him mmm Alonso) and his dad surname is Pérez and his mum surname is López the baby will be named Alonso Pérez López so his babies willbe also called Lopez, but if it´s a girl (let's call her Amanda), she'll be Amanda Pérez López but when she have a baby they'll keep first the dad surname.

 

But i think that the law has changes and you can change the order.. :idea2:
