I just got back from the city.... the in store was about 2 hours long.. (or so they said thats how long it was going to be) and let me just tell you.... I was on line for 6 hours!! AND for no good reason except that I love these guys and was afraid I wasnt going to make it there to see them. I was FIRST in line.. :D I saw them walk in to the store.. snapped a few pics.. (I tried at least) my ENTIRE body was frozen from standing there all fuckin day! But in the end... it all happened so fast.. I wish I could go back and ask stuff... for a moment I just stood there in front of the table and was like... :stunned: da-huh! Sam just looked at me like.... "speak girl!" lol So I told them it was a pleasure seeing them perform on Tuesday... I loved it.. and Daniel is soooo sweet! Paul.. oh my GOD Paul is even more cute in person! Carlos looked sharp as always!! I told Paul how much I loved his lyrics... and how he inspires me.. he was very gracious and just nodded.. thanks.. then as Carlos was signing my TOTBL inlet.. I was just taking it all in.... I said " wow... I can't believe I'm standing in front of you guys... " they all chuckled a bit.. and I ws shooed away by the 'organizers'.. a couple of the Interpol Boardies I met there.. (purely unintentional) brought them gifts and stuff.. very cool.. but I felt bad that I didnt even think of that!! So, while I was freezin my ass off.. one of my pompoms from my mitten fell off.. I had it in my pocket.. and then ran back to give it to Carlos.. I thought he'd get a kick out of that lol I says to him "Carlos.. take this pompom that fell from my mitten.. its not much but its my token of how long I stayed in the cold and stuff" lol he looked at it like 'is this girl for real'?? Paul looks over.. and started chuckling.. and Carlos was like.. "uh.. ok thanks" :laugh3: I didnt expect him to actually keep it.. but, I just wanted to be silly and give him something.. they look fooking mega I tell you.. As I was standing in front of Paul.. all that kept going thru my head was.. "holy shit.. this isnt a picture man.. its actually Paul Banks!" lol His eyes... even bluer than the deepest seas.. I was in heaven for that 1:30sec I was there.. I got a really cool poster too.. but as soon as I hit the street.. that damn wind ripped it! :cry: good thing they didnt sign the poster.. lol I would've been pissed!

 

anyhoo... it was a fuckin fantabulous day... I am in Interpol heaven right now.. I did take pictures while I was in front of them... I hope they came out ok.. when I get them, I'll be sure to post.. this time in a more timely manner.. lol ;)

Yah, 6 hours is quite a lot. When I go to a show I normally wait like 2 hours in line before a show, and that is just to get in.
