February 27, 200521 yr I'm not 100% sure of what this situation is like in the USA or around the rest of the world, but in the UK at least this is something that is very scary, at least to me. On a saturday night you can go into Town, to the nightclubs, and come closing time the streets are over-flowing with young "adults" completely off their face, mostly through drinking copius amounts of alcohol. More often than not a fight will break out for no reason, it scares me. it's so sad that society seems so content to throw their lives away, that their idea of a great time is to get mind-numbingly drunk and loose control. That they can't have fun any other way, part of it might be down to breaking the law when under 18, but binge drinking isn't just an under 18 problem. Why is society so focused on alcohol as a form of relaxation? Something that seems to bring out the worst parts of humanity, causes fights, fall outs, increased sexual encounters? Is there nothing else left to do? Can humanity not enjoy itself with a conversation, music and friendship?

February 27, 200521 yr Author yes....21 and 5 months. born september 25th 1983, i just don't see the attraction in the youthful expression of conforming to alcohol, fags and drugs. I prefer a civil conversation, or a night out in a piano/jazz bar discussing the high life, rather than shaking my booty off to some cheesy crappy dance song that lasts for 8 hours

February 27, 200521 yr Hope no one got insulted from what I said. I myself love to go out on the weekends/drink/meet friends and have a great time. If I fall down when drinking it's not cause I'm drunk...it's cause I can't walk in heels lol. :o
