What the fuck was that? It was terrible, looks like embarassing poetry I wrote when I was 12.

That was "What If", song by fucking Coldplay, check this site's tracksearch on X&Y, it's right there, I'll send you the song if you don't believe me. I have the recordings from the KCRW concert Coldplay gave not so long ago, it had five new songs in it (A Message, Speed of Sound, Square One, What If and White Shadows). I transcribed the lyrics from the live recordings. You fucking check their album when it comes out, I'll hear ya complaining 'bout Chris' poetry then. These lyrics are 99% right.

There's another thread with this lyrics... We think it's "How can you know it if you don't (and won't on the second time) even try" And maybe before this ,"Let's take a breath jump over the sigh (or sight, sky ?) Ah and "when every step that you take COULD be your biggest mistake"

That's quite possible, I'm not sure though. The part about the "don't" the first time and the "won't" the second time is right though, I forgot to put that one in. I really had a terrible time making out that sentence with the diamonds or whatever it's supposed to be, the sound quality of the live recordings I've got is absolutely horrible. Mostly you can't understand what Chris is singing half the time, or you can't hear Guy's bassline, or something else. Also, bear in mind that I'm not a native English speaker, so maybe someone from the UK should try and figure out that difficult sentence :)

And, and, I'm almost certainly sure about that sentence in the chorus. And about the "can", not "could", too.
