This is so awesome!!! I am from the Detroit area and this is just perfect. Hopefully I can get decent tickets. Gvargas, is the Metro a good place ?

When will it be?

The official Coldpay site has it listed as May 6th being the show. And the tickets go on sale April 30th, this saturday. The Metro Website however does not have it listed yet.

Aww that's too soon. I'm busy in two weeks anyways. :cry:

that's friggin' awesome. chicago is one of my favourite cities on the globe. i'd die to see coldplay there.

the Metro is a great place. I live 2 blocks from there and have been to so many shows there. It has a capacity of anywhere from 900-1100 people. Good luck getting tickets to you all, we will need it.

Where will tickets be on sale at on the 30th? Ticketmaster doesn't have it listed.

How much are tickets gonna be?

How fast do we think this is going to sell out? Radio stations are starting to mention the concert. Hopefully the people who get word from them won't be at ticketmaster at noon. Tickets are 23.00 plus ticketmasters giant fees. I will be so pissed if I don't get a ticket.

Aren't they coming as part of this music festival or whatever? This isn't their headlining tour, they'll be back right?

Question here: I was reading the blog, Chicagoist, and it said that presale tickets are available to members at the official website, but when I checked it says all pre sale requests are currently not available, do you think that was a mistake on the blog's part? or just they already closed the presale for this show?

Coldplays website says that all tickets (except those for buzz gigs) have a presale date.

 

Hopefully there is a presale. I'm not sure if that means all buzz gigs or just certain ones.

ok thanks for clearing things up. It would be pretty cool of there was a presale, but time is running out. I just hope I get tickets, presale, regular sale, scalper, whatever works :lol:

yah, I think there isn't a presale on these buzz tickets only on their tour tickets. The Metro is a cool place, but you have to get their early to see. I haven't ever been way up front, but I saw Starsailor and Snow Patrol. For Starsailor it was a good view, cause there weren't too many people, but for Snow Patrol, I couldn't see much. Either way, it is a pretty good sound and it is a pretty small place. There is a balcony, but I have never see a show from there. I wonder what time they will start selling the tickets at the Metro.

F.Y.I the show finally is listed on ticketmaster.... to people who have knowledge in this area, how hard is it to get tickets if one goes online right at 12 and tries to get tickets?? I imagine its still a longshot...

With Ticketmaster you might have a better shot meeting the band on a street corner in Chicago. It depends how many people are trying to access their server at 12. It's usually not a good thing.

How early must one go to the venue to go get the tickets if they go on sale at 12:00? (Am I going to have to compete against other Coldplay fanatics/ wait in line/ etc etc etc... ?)
