the interview was after the KCRW gig in LA...

 

Chris wasnt available to talk cause he had a trouble with his throat...he wanted to rest...he was going to sing that nite...so he just apologized and recorded a mini hail for Reactor 105 radio station!... :)

 

 

the others Coldplays were so damn available...so GB, WC and JB gave the interview....

 

 

they said they were nervous about the show...cause they were going to present some of the new stuff... :P

 

this interview was one of the firsts they gave...the album was unfinished at that time (march 21...26th I dunno when it was the krcw gig)...so they didn’t have conclusions about how the new album sounded it like!...

 

Berryman gave the adjective "BIG" for this album...more energetic...melodic...

 

they did the same process to record the album...Chris wrote some songs...and everybody made the arrangements...GUY BERRYMAN WROTE some songs too!... :o ...and then Jonny said: "I had a dream last nite...Guy wrote a song and then we recorded and it was the first single!"... :lol: ....so Jonny is worried about singles and stuff...[he must be really nervous to dream about them] :P

 

 

then the next question was why X&Y!?...and guy said it was about things you don’t understand nor explain. Is not a conceptual album, the only link between the songs is us!...the songs are about things Chris is concerned, that’s the link, but there isn’t a repetitive idea in the album.

The lyrics are universal and you can understand what they mean. Others are based on Chris´ images. Guy thinks this is the best album referring to lyrics…

 

Producers Ken Nelson, Daunton Supple.

 

Eno…went one afternoon to the studio and he started to make some special noises for “Low”…so his essence is in the album too!

 

They could be highly affected if we…coldplay fans…don’t like the new album as we have done it with the past 2.

 

Jonny doesn’t know if this is the best Coldplay album…Guy is so sure it is!

 

They had some discussions in the studio…differences about how should be…how must sound…etc etc etc…so there’s a democracy in the band.

 

Coldplay feel like the music industry has changed when they were off the scene. The music on the inet is just now in another level. That´s why they decided not to show it [the whole album…like a showcase] til now.

 

Guy said “there are very gud bands outhere…is gonna be interesting go back in business…I know there are loads of bands that are having success and I don’t even know them…I´m just waiting for the moment…”

“To beat them!” <---said the interviewer...Guy response: “to kick their arses!”...hahahaha……put them on the rite place![----guy and his ego----:rolleyes:]

Jonny answered The killers, the futureheads, FF…they are just great…Interpol…The zutons as the best new bands…

 

Those are cool bands…and you are not supposed to be cool. Well at first you were but now you´re kind of boring…cause the spirit of your music has changed a lil bit! …GUY got mad about this!...ha…he said “is the same for us, all that stuff about being alternative is bullshit, if you are cool at some point of your career will leave to be, so better be from the beginning, all the time, permanently.”

 

 

Jonny talked about Keane´s lead singer …”he has a gud voice.” Coldplay opened a Keane gig when they were starting like 8 years ago. They used to have a guitar player @ that time!...they wish to all the new bands success as long they write gud music.

 

Coldplay is going to do a long tour…it will last like 18 months…in the tour wont be Spinal Tap…ha!...but they want lites…loads of lites…[maybe like Speed of sound vid] the lite designer is already working on this…and they have liked all the advances.
