We've already got the cover art, but that's probably not what you're looking for.

I think he wants the lyrics

Someone on #altrock scanned the cd to prove he had it....

So if that's the cd I guess it's safe to say the inside will be navy with green letters. Hmm. Nice, I guess :)

I question that as the final disc design. EVERY Coldplay LP has been in black, with the Coldplay logo and album name, and WITHOUT the tracklisting. I would be sort of sad to see that change.

Plus, I hope that anti-copying crap doesn't show up on the final releases, because I want to be able to rip it into iTunes for my iPod when I get the album.

wasn't parachutes brown....?

is it navy? :o if it is...I WAS RIGHT!

looks black to me though...

meh.. if thats the actual cd.. I'm not impressed.. but the logo is on it! :P

I hope its better than this pic lets on..

Strange how there are songs listed as X1-6 and Y1-6, is that supposed to represent something?

im wondering if the X tracks and Y tracks are grouped that way for a reason or if its just there to compliment the album title. hmmm... ill have to look over the lyrics.

From Wikipedia:

"According to lead singer Chris Martin, the title X&Y is based on the ups and downs of his everyday life. Martin says "My whole day is a mixture of optimism and pessimism in its most extreme forms. And that’s what X&Y is to me. It’s two sides. I like the fact they’re very strong letters, very clear."

So X are the optimistic songs, like Square One, What if, Fix You, Talk..etc and Y are the more pessimistic tunes like Speed of Sound, Low, Hardest Part, Swallowed in the Sea. The two sections represent the two sides of the album!

i remember reading an article in which chris explains that X&Y means the uncertainties of life and that everything may not have an answer like math problems (hence the x and y). Maybe they are separated into two different uncertainties he and the band have in their lives??? i might be totally talking out of my ass but im just speculating.

how is SoS a pessmistic song???

It's the first on the Y side, so yes, it is getting to be more pessimistic.

X&Y has a brochure? It is a 2 week cruise

the the song itself has nothing of pessimism??? am I missing something? :embarrased:

Im very pessimistic about that song, thats why.

Wikipedia is not a source to be quoting after, though. Anyone can edit that therefore we really can't know if it's true; unless it's backed-up by a link or something.

SoS is not really pessimistic...Chris has said that it's about disasters and miracles and things that are so fantastic that we can't understand them. Nothing pessimistic (nor optimistic) there. Also... Fix You is not optimistic. I don't believe everything I read from Wiki.
