June 7, 200521 yr Has anyone cracked the code yet? I have tried many forms of state of concience but I am non the wiser, anyone got ideas?
June 7, 200521 yr Ireentje is it just me or are you REALLY cool. and can u help this guy out :P :wink3:
June 7, 200521 yr It's just you. It really says X & Y, nothing else. Take a good look at the coding for the ampersand in the booklet.
June 7, 200521 yr Heres a pic of the cover for ur viewing pleasure. and Ireentje is that a tatto of x&y on your butt? ;)
June 7, 200521 yr Nope, it's one short line for the X, a long line for the ampersand (all the symbols in the Baudot code have a long line, check the booklet) and finally a short line for the Y.
June 7, 200521 yr k. looks good. :P o and heres anothr pic of the cover. with a little design i thought i mite add.
June 7, 200521 yr You circled half of the code for the ampersand. That long line isn't two shorts put together, that's one code. Check your booklet mate
June 7, 200521 yr I've always loved how the guys of coldplay don't plaster pictures of themselves all over the front and back covers of their albums, instead choosing symbols or designs; how wonderfully humble they are. ;) -- JDO
June 8, 200521 yr Quite ingenuous. I wouldn't be surprised if the album art for this soon ranked among some of the best (like Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album cover). ::EDIT:: Just noticed a message encoded on the inside back cover. I think you can guess what it says. ;) ::EDIT::
June 8, 200521 yr http://www.coldplace.co.uk/xygen.asp :) the colours the programmer used are a bit different from the ones in the X&Y booklet. For example, the letter "L" is different..... But to give him credit, he was simply assuming the colour scheme from the sources he had available.

Thank you :) I was indeed making assumptions about the colouring - i only had the X&Y and Speed of Sound covers to go on. I'll get round to updating the colours at some point.
