China orders bloggers to register

Featured Replies

I'm not sure how they do it...one of the, if not the most, populated countries in the world and they have what seems to be complete control. Can't imagine going to jail for a blog. Fear of free thinking is ridiculous.

Its silly to try and tell someone how to run their country. One way of looking at it would be would you like someone to tell you how to run your life. !

If china can do it, then all countries can do it. and the government of my country wanted to do the same as china :stunned:

Chinese is here!!

maybe you all thought that China is a poor country, well,it is still poor in some area.but in many places,it is as morden as you can imagine.i'm serious.

well, population is the most difficult problem, and one couple only allowed to gave birth to one child.i'm the only child in my family,it's cool.

a long distance for China to become a developed country.maybe 50 years,maybe 100 years,maybe 200 years,but the increasing economy can tell everything.

btw,you maybe influenced by Zhang Yimou(the director) too much.his films are always happened in the poorest place.and many Chinese hate him .

At least the Chinse goverment tell you what they are doing. I am certain most goverments monitor all web traffic but they dont let you know...

Did you know that 97 % of call Voice/ Data Comucations out of Europe and The US are monitored. Via a Remote Station in the Yorkshire moors.

They have computers listening out for key words

It would be difficult for any Government to monitor all web traffic in a structured manner - hence they ask website owners to register. This then gives them the knowledge of who aren't registered, and action can then be taken against those who "are drawn to the Government's attention".

It's the simplest way of cornering those who fail to comply with Government legislation. The worry is if your Chinese they tend not to punish half-heartedly.
