If i was to suggest to you some good british bands then it would have to be either Oasis or Blur. Stereophonics or the Manic street preechers. Either of those 4 bands are really good. All 4 are highly respected and very famous.

 

Oasis. Supersonic and Dont look back in anger are must listens. From albums "Definately maybe" and "Whats the story morning glory?"

 

Blur. You must hear Parklife. You must hear Charmless man. From Albums "Parklif and "The Great escape"

 

Steroephonics. Just looking you need to hear. Have a nice day is a modern classic. From "Performance and cocktails" and "Just enough education to perform"

 

I cant really suggest anything for the manics. All i know is they are brilliant and you should look them up.

Very good idea! I don't like the other Muse songs very much, but this one is so cool!

We've mentioned Travis before. You should hear "Sing", "Side" & "The Humpty Dumpty Love Song" from their ingenious album "The Invisible Band".

 

Oh! Don't forget The Verve, a great favourite of mine. "Bitter Sweet Symphony" & "Lucky Man". Or the whole album "Urban Hymns".

 

My Radiohead favourites are: "Creep", "You" and "High & Dry".
