Can anybody tell me what was the band's name?, i've heard that there was sometingelse before "Coldplay" and why didn't they use it?

I think they were called "Wrong Forum" but that might be a crazy rumour.

It was Starfish, but they didn't use it because Jonny said once that upon that time they went into a CD shop, and they a found a lot of other bands with that name, and they didn't like it anyway, so they changed it. Then they found Coldplay, and at first it was 'The coldplay'. I also heard that they thought about using 'Big fat noises', but fortunatly they thought it twice!!! :lol:

i´ve heard that "pectoralz" was a "joke band" that was supposed to be a boys band..(like nsync and that stuff) but i dont know if its true..i saw it on MTV

They were called Starfish till another band called Coldplay split up and didn't need their name any more, so they gave it to Coldplay.

i heard that they had a friend who also had a band and his band was called coldplay.but his friends didnt like that name because he said it is too depressive.then chris martin asked him that can he use this name.and he said yes.
