does any one know why thing i dont understand wasn't on the album? i know they cant put every song on but i think its better than swallowed in the sea and would have been a great way to close the album? whay does anyone else think?

listen, i could understand if he were to say replace twisted logic with tidu, but SITS was one of the 3 songs chris said was the basis for X&Y

I think the Hardest Part kind of resembled Green Eyes...more of a country-ish feel to it. I like it :nice:

it's what the band thought most fit for the album, if they didn't think it was worth it's their decision.

I usually get why the band does stuff and where they're coming from but with X&Y this time round, I feel like singing TIDU back at them... I still can't understand why they say Fix You is great (ok, it's a good song but that organ... :/ ). Swallowed in the Sea... granted it has its merits and does give structure to the album, I still think its not that great a song. To build a spiralling melody that keeps going downwards ad infinitum is quite genius of them :idea2: but I still can't get over the fact that it's such a sing-a-long and also that it doesn't quite lead anywhere. On the other hand, Twisted Logic and the Hardest Part really add character to the album. This album needed the Hardest Part for that bit of unadultered sunshine or else it would've been :snore: Twisted Logic is just such a big step forward for them in terms of developing their lusher sound... those big, grand guitars and the build-up of the song are ace :D
