Anyone heard/like/hate with passion/own any material of them?

 

Saw this geezer on Jools a while back, sounded interesting... (in a nice way)

I looked on cd-wow a while ago and they/it/she/he have 3 albums on the go from what I can see :stunned:

I've heard some of this. The vocals are insanely creepy.

Ah, the American band which won the Mercury Prize.

 

I thought the curse of the Mercury had stuck again and they disappeared :(

I like them, but the guy's voice isn't the most wonderful thing ever. It fits the music though, and I've only listened to them like once... I'm sure with more listens it will become more pleasing. I love his album covers, though.

I was crazy about these guys when they first appeared on the scene

But after a while the lyrics started to really depress me :(

Oh yeah, I remember from the Arcade Fire thread that you have a fascination with other male users and your testicles. How strange. Anyway, given Antony makes such beautiful music it would be a shame to taint the thread with juvenile and idiotic bickering.

 

I've listened to the first few tracks of the stream you posted and it's decent. So far there is nothing I would regard as special, but it could well be a grower. Very nice background music to my afternoon. There is of course plenty more for me to hear from these streams.

 

Does anybody have any information about these recordings? I didn't realise there was anything planned for release.

OK, I apologise to everybody reading for posting off topic, especially in a thread which has so few posts as it is, but Dejan, how on earth can you like such beautiful music such as Arcade Fire and Antony & The Johnsons when you clearly have so many anger issues? I think it is good that those bands can clearly appeal to the savage as well as the intellectuals and the serene, but I can't help but wonder what it is exactly that you take from these bands.
