I can´t watch the video :(

Did you try it on mtv?, that's where I watched it.

Defintly a great video, far better than the SOS video. However, I thought the first half was too much like Yellow, Scientist, and U2's "Sometimes You Can't Make it On Your Own". It was just too similar, but the ending is what makes it a great video.

The last half of the video is awesome with the fireworks and the crowd. I love how they added the noise of the crowd and the crowd singing at the end. It gave me chills I must admit.

Question: What does Chris say at the end, I can't understand him.?

I will again say that I did not like the crowd singing....and I have no idea what he says at the end...I think someone posted it somewhere but I dont know where!! :D

^I'm sorry dude but, we heard you the first time. Seriously.

I know that he thanks the crowd for helping him by "singing back up" and he'll see them again or something? I'm not sure, I've only seen it a couple times since the Coldplayer seems to be having volume issues. Anyone else with this problem? Everything else on my comp has sound and is working fine. Plus I refuse to visit MTV.com. I hate MTV. So I'm sort of screwed.

^^Sorry "dude" but if u heard me the first time then u also heard that I said on the Coldplayer go to ur settings and put the volume up!!! :stunned: :snore:

Thanks, I appreciate getting mocked. Love it. Love it a lot.

:biker: :disguise: LMFAO. Riiiiiiiight. Does anyone honestly use those? LMFAO!

Oh, question related to this topic though. What's Chris spinning? I want one.

Not to be a wet blanket, but it's very much like U2's video for 'Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own', except Chris doesn't have the requisite magnetism to keep me interested all by himself for a few minutes like Bono can.

Similarities are:

1) Lead singer walks along a street with a contemplative look on his face for most of the song, followed by...

2) Triumphant full band ending!!

Coldplay certainly upped the ante (U2 played in an empty theatre during their second bit), but perhaps they might have been better off doing a complete copy job.

Like someone else said, the stadium bit seems a bit inappropriate for the song.

As you may have gathered, I'm not a bit fan of the clip. Oh well, Speed of Sound was cool (courtesy of Romanek, a legend), so I guess you can't win em all. :)

Why is it that so many people have the need to compare CP and U2? People say SoS is just like the Blinding Lights vid, and now Fix You is like Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own? U2 has been around for too many years and have probably done everything there possibly is to do. Coldplay does fairly simple (but lovely! :D) videos so most likely another band of their same genre, that's also into simplicity and have around longer, have done something similar. Fix You is very Coldplay simply because Chris likes walking on videos, it seems. Let them be.

ahhhh

i liked the video, but did anyone else notice that at the end they did not do a good job of splicing the audio? You can hear "and I will try to fix you" both in the live recording and the album recording. I don't know how to explain it fully, just watch the video and at the very end of the song they cut back to the live audio, but it plays over the album audio!

also...did anyone else notice the sign that said King's Cross? Was it just coincidence that the sign was there? Personally, I think it just might be Coldplay's own little tribute to the London bombing victims. Any thoughts?

B/C the stupid crowd is singing....

how many times do you think you have to say that?

I saw that and thought the same exact thing. It's a little too coincidental, and some of the lyrics to that song echoe so much in a time where people are trying to mend their own hearts over the tragedy. If it is, I think I might find I love Coldplay so much my heart will just burst.

As many times as people ask!!

I actually like the part where the crowd sings. It gives me goosebumps. I love when the pyro goes off too.
