Moooooooooooooo.....

Nice to see you here.....long time I haven't seen you...;)

and I'm a bit bored.....so, it's good that you are here....hehe...

how is uni life going?

Yeah, some stuff came up here, but its fine now.

Uni life is going well, although I have exams on sunday :stunned:

Wow.....on sunday....that must be exciting...;)

Do you think it's going to be hard?

And is it hard to make friends there?

haha questions....

btw I had to take the Moon out of my sig....just love the look of the Tommy writing so much....:laugh4:

Well, its a big difference from school, I'll tell you that. Making friends? Well, I found it quite tough at first but now I have a few people who I hang out with. But I think it depends on how you are.

Yes, I noticed about Kieth :( But Tommy is a god substitute

hehe I can imagine......I mean (at least here in Germany...) there are no timetables....not a real "class" and things like that......you are so much responsible for yourself....

I wonder if it will hard for me to make friends there....what I like is that they offer a breakfast together for example at the first day....to get to know the people a bit...and they organize parties....

heheh he is still in my avi......

ahhhh.....I'm listening to Verdi's Nabucco right now......I love it...haha

i've just watched Borat an hour ago' date=' hilarious i have to say :P[/quote']

Oh really?

I heard some different opinions about it....although those people didn't even watch it lol...

I said I want to watch it.....my sister said she thinks it will be crap and my Dad said the same.....

but at least I want to watch it because of his hot swimming suit...:wink3:

I already saw some scenes in te preview...thought it was quite funny...

Nik my man. Welcome to the Jules Mad House :nice:

Jules, yeah it took me a while to get used to the lecture stuff and having free hours where you can wander around.

Thats good about the breakfast thing, because unless you know someone quickly it can be a bit boring sometimes.

Hehe, as long as he's still there  I heard him mentioned on tv the other day. Can't remember what it was now.

Ah Verdi! You like classical music? :)

I have a strong suspicion it is mega "lame", like "Hey, Dude - Where's My Car?" or something like that.;)

it's a bit wicked humour, i'd say once you should watch and only after judge. some of his jokes are really tiresome, but also many are really funny

^Ricky Gervais is far funnier than boring Borat.;)

haha the Jules mad house......

yeah this is what I like as well....it is not offered at every uni.....so I want to choose a uni where things like that are offered and I hopefully will make friends easily....;)

yes and as long as he is still on our minds....:bigcry:

Well.....I'm not THAT much into classical music......a piece I really love is the "Carmina Burana"....but we play a "medley" by Verdi in the music club....and I lvoe it....so I thought I should have a look for some Verdi music on the net.....made a request on here......didn't find much I must admit,.....:(

only this part of Nabucco but it is only one song....I love it anyways...

hehe....so did you watch it in english or in another language?

I heard somewhere that it is worth to watch it in english, because some jokes are even better then....;)

Well it would be daft to watch it in any other language, as the jokes would all get lost in translation.;)

yes, english with german + french subtitles. better to watch it in original language (as every movie) because of Borat's accent ;)

Exactly....this is what I thought.....haha I wonder if the subtitles had the strange accent as well......did they?

I said exactly....but I must admit that I usually watch the films in my language (erm german....) , because I'm too lazy to keep my brain wokring so much when I watch a film....(strange sentence...)

i always try to watch films in original language (even chinese, japanese) with subtitles. sometimes the translations might be terrible and of course hearing the original voice is much better than the translator's ;)

i'm lucky that some swiss channels show broadcast movies in 2 channels (original language and german), so i can always choose, whether i want to practice my english or deutsch :P

I'm sure you'll make friends easily, Jules

I hope I haven't put off the thread, Nik. This thread is the coolness

hahaha......films in chinese??Sounds funny....

My problem is.....when I watched the film in german first and want to watch it in the original language again afterwards.....I got used to the german language and think that the original voices make everything so strange....ahha

oh that's nice........don't know if there is any german channel which does that as well....the only one that comes to my mind right now is "arte" which does similar things.....and maybe "3sat" but I'm not sure about that....

I think practising german is a good choice.....
