I'm sure you'll make friends easily, Jules

I hope I haven't put off the thread, Nik. This threas is the coolness

hehe thanks for this optimism Mo...;)

in my current state I even believe this as well........what I'm most excited about is to meet people who are interested in the same things like me.....you know....people who want to study musicology must be cool....:P

haha this thread is the coolness? it's nice to hear that....because I always thought there is nothing special about it....only a boring name thread....

(although I must admit it's the longest name thread on this board...lalala...)

Thanks for saying that guys....

It used to be much more fun in the old days. Now it just seems to be a two-way conversation most of the time, like on Windows Live Messenger or something..........................

I prefer watching films in their original languages too. It feels more genuine.

Btw Jules, I want to watch some German films. Can you recommend anything?

oh that's nice........don't know if there is any german channel which does that as well....the only one that comes to my mind right now is "arte" which does similar things.....and maybe "3sat" but I'm not sure about that....

yes, i noticed that

there was a documentary, No Direction Home about Bob Dylan (directed by Scorcese!!!) i guess on Arte, but i'm not sure. it was kinda late (around midnight), wanted to watch it but fell asleep lol

btw, it was in english with subtitles

hahaha......films in chinese??Sounds funny....

My problem is.....when I watched the film in german first and want to watch it in the original language again afterwards.....I got used to the german language and think that the original voices make everything so strange....ahha

i do the same when i have an opportunity, but here in SUI i don't really have a chance to do it. i mean, i speak and understand ENG and GER approximately at the same level. so if i don't understand something in ENG, then very likely i won't understand it in GER either, you know what i mean :\

haha.........I wonder why.....maybe people are scared of me....don't know about that....

that's not my fault....

I mean......see......now we are even 3 people...-.:nice:

i can

"Lola rennt", "Das Experiment" and "Knockin' on Heaven's Door"

Yeah, but back then when there were like 10 people talking things used to get a bit confusing.

Cheers Nik. Is "Lola Rennt" "See Lola Run", with Franka Potente? I've heard of that.

Yes - but in the old days when Gail was around it was such a laugh and there was no "acting snobby" and ignoring of people. It's changed a lot since then.;)

imo, it's a movie that you can watch many times and you won't get bored. every action movie should be like Lola rennt ;)

Yeah like Nik said....I watched "Lola rennt" as well.....it's very good.....same goes for "Das experiment" and "Knocking on heaven's door" (wooow....I stunned myself...although I don't really watch flms often I know all three of them....)

I also watched "Gegen die Wand" a while ago.....I can also recommend this one...;)

I like german films.......german music may not be he best.......but german films are good most of the time....:D

Right, I'll have to keep my eye out for those films. Thanks guys :)

European movies > American movies ;)

You are right.......unfortunately she disappeared....and yes I also don't doubt that it changed a lot since then....but for me that's no problem...

That's a great pity!!

What happened to Gail?

well, she's indeed disappeared. i remember, though, that she came back but only for some short time. actually she's not the only one who disappeared suddenly........

she just probably got a life and doesn't have time for these forums, so i'm happy for her
