thescientist06
This idea just popped up in my head... Record yourself playing a part of a Coldplay song (bass, guitar, drums, whatever... maybe even maracas or something), and it has to be exactly like the song, or at least with the same tempo and structure and stuff. It has to be able to merge with the rest of the parts... And if we get enough parts for the same song, we can put them all together to kinda make a weird Coldplay cover. :D this sounds like a cool idea. I'm a bit of a piano player, myself, who obsesses over coldplay songs (I've been playing for 9 years) and I can play... Politik, In my Place, The Scientist, Clocks, Amsterdam, Trouble, Yellow, Fix You.. Well, mostly Rush of Blood songs. keep me posted ;-) p.s. your signature is awesome (about the white sox thing)
thescientist06
oh, and I can play Green Eyes on the Guitar too. I play guitar also if anyone wanted to know
thescientist06
ok here's what I'm going to do. if this this is still going on (which i'm sure it is) I'll get my friend who has a lovely grand piano AND garageband on his laptop and record my version of "Amsterdam" and "The Scientist" for ya'll. :-D
Kapone
^sounds cool. I want to record summat. What song would be good as an acoustic that they haven't done yet?
Luigio
I'll record The Scientist Piano, maybe vocals, tomorrow, providing that everyone is either upstairs or out of the house, since my computers microphone ain't that great.
my_star_is_fading
Heres my first attempt at Gravity. I kinda made it..err..bigger, though  I did it using an old rhodes keyboard, an electronic drumkit, and some free recording software (check it out at http://audacity.sourceforge.net ). Try to ignore the weird bass solos in the intro: it was late, and I was bored.lol The mixings a bit crap, as I havnt had time to do it properly yet, and I forgot to add vocal and guitar, so ill post the complete version later. http://rapidshare.de/files/6615474/gravity.wav.html
bohs man
http://rapidshare.de/files/6675733/God_Put_A_Smile_Upon_Your_Face__Tony_.wma.html http://rapidshare.de/files/6676145/Square_One__Tony_.wma.html Here's 2 more that i have done just a normal GPASUYF this time my fav song so i did it well as for the square one i through it together in about 15 mins so its very rough and acoustic(ish) theres no vocals and no drums in square one so hopefully you can still enjoy it though. Thanks for listening as always. Bohs Man.

my_star_is_fading
Heres a version of The Scientist that ive just knocked off... This is closer to the original than my "gravity". Theres no lyrics, but there is one interesting addition: a sax solo, a la Pink Floyd! :P http://rapidshare.de/files/6792519/scientist.mp3.html UPDATE Heres the version with lyrics. forgive the poor sound quality: my mic broke so i had to use the old "speaker wired up backwards" trick. And am I really that sharp? :embarrased: http://rapidshare.de/files/6848743/scientist2.mp3.html
simoncooldude
Does anyone wanna give a kinda remote band thing a go?? Choose an instrument to a song, and record it. Then when all the parts of it are together, mix it together and we can create a single from all over the world?? Any suggestions for the song??
