Im not trying to diss your music or anything like that, my opinion is just that U2 is sort of boring, although I have to admit, I do love "The Sweetest Thing" speaking of which, does anyone have an mp3 of that?

And this is just going back to my topic of other bands/actors liking Coldplay...but um...yeah, my roommie REALLY likes John Mayer...REALLY. And I LOVE Coldplay (haha...duh!), so she found out one day that John Mayer wrote this one song Bigger than my Body, and he wrote it "After going to a Coldplay concert and feeling inspired to not only make music equally as moving, but to explain that feeling in words."

 

ha-HA! So, he was inspired by them! Whoott!

no worries......to each their own......I guess U2 is like my first love, musically speaking...you move forward, but you never forget it....and in no way was I trying to say that U2 are better or worse than Coldplay.....just different.....give me Beautiful Day or Clocks.....Fix You or With Or Without You.....and I'm just as happy....

 

in regards to concerts...it's obvious one's been touring for quite some time more than the other....and have different types of shows.....which is why I constantly vacillate between the two.....but let's make this clear:

 

I DO LOVE COLDPLAY!

 

 

and I do have the mp3 of Sweetest Thing.....both the Single Mix and Original

 

but aren't U2 sort of boring? ;)

I dont like U2 either. But I do think they are amazingly talented are obviously legends, but their music doesnt do much for me.

Although it was really nice to hear 'Where the Streets have no Name' on the radio this morning, i love that song. Oh and 'One'....and 'With or Without You', and 'City of Blinding Lights', and 'Sometimes you cant make it on your own' is ok......but thats it! :lol:

u2 is is one of my favorite bands...of coooooourse coldplay comes first and then the cranberries, and then u2...it's my third favorite band thought...but wait!I also like radiohead very much...oh, and travis!so I don't know where I can put u2...but definetly is one of my faves...songs like but I still haven't found what I'm looking for, beautiful day and sunday, bloody sunday are amazing!I love them! :)

About u2, i think they have good quality music, but it doesn't get me so much. Though i love Walk on and sunday bloody sunday. Maybe it's just because i havent listened so much of them.

I think a lot of the time, most of us, I include myself in that, tend to say 'we don't like this, etc, etc' and many times it's because we don't give it a chance and tend to judge a band on X amount of songs that we've heard and didn't like and thus pass judgement, when in reality there are a lot of songs that are worth a listen...

 

much like a casual fan that hears The Scientist on the radio and immediately assumes Coldplay is very slow and soft rock type music

When you send anyone in radio for your state a myspace message asking if there is anything you can do to win tickets for Coldplays upcoming concert. :lol:

My nearly-dead experience, when I was trying to order tickets for their concert! Every time I tried, I got "Page Cannot be displayed" as an answer.... It was getting predictable and it became an automatism to always try and load the website again, until finally.... I entered the right page... I think I beat the record for heart bearts per second. I didn't read anything, I just clicked every OK button I saw, afterwards I was really frightened I did something wrong, I even emailed teleticketservice LOL
