i love reading his books.

some of his books have been made (tranfered on the cinema) moovies but as usual there werent as good as the books.

some of the books that you should definately check if you are into mustery-supersticious-horror novels are the followings(or if you are into those kind of moovies ):

the shinning

the it

rose red

sleepwalkers

the green mile

dreamcatcher

some of his novels were even made tv shows but i never got to watch them so i cant express any opinion.

my fav ST.kING'S book is "IT" and moovies(which has been based on one of his book ) would be "the green mile"

Stand By Me wad the best one in my opinion. (The Body) I loved it.... not too gory and a great story of friendship...

I only read the one with the girl in the forest.only know the name in german.......

Yeah he's awesome i think I just about read all his books. Some that stand out are

Dreamcatcher

The Regulators(he wrote that under a different name Richard Bachman very good)

Bag of Bones

And of course all the Dark Tower Books, I've read all of them very good.

and a lot of other ones's, just let me know which one, and I'll let you know what it's like.

so here i am at work..(god i hate monday's) reading my new St, King book.

it's called The Colorado Kid, it's actually really

short, only 184 pages, he wrote it for a small

publisher that specializes in crime fiction, it's not

one of his typical horror stories, it's more of a

mystery

so far I'm only 20 pages into it, but it's pretty good

so far, if things stay quiet at work I should be able

to finish it tonight

Anyone read it?

:idea2:

is not Stephen King??? :stunned:

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Salem's Lot (apparently one of the scariest books ever but I didn't find it too bad) and The Stand. Both really good books of his :D

i read TommyKnockers the story in itself is not scary but reading it at night is................. :( ............i'm such a scardy cat............... :/

I really like Thinner. A nice little tale of vengeance. :D

the best adaptation of a steven king work has to be "shawshank redemption" from the short story "rita hayworth and the shawshank redemption" - at least i think so :P

Yes, Shawshank was fantastic, as was Stand By Me. Two of the best movie adaptations of his writings. ;)
