which TV show has the best music/soundtrack?

Featured Replies

i personally think Roswell has the best music found on a TV show.. i bought the soundtrack and it was brilliant (COldplay's 'brothers and sisters' is featured).. even songs that are featured on the show but not on the soundtrack all sound so good.. like The Fly's "got you where i want you"..

oh and Buffy has got good music too..!

anyway, tell me what you guys think :D

I'd probably say Buffy, Roswell or Smallville... Smallville played Coldplay and Oasis.. :D

i was thinking about buffy when i entered this forum, i love the music in that show.

can we talk theme songs? i think malcolm in the middle is the only time i've ever heard a major, well-known band play a TV theme song and not have it annoy the hell out of me. (the band is They Might be Giants, for those who don't know)

They Might Be Giants are great, i saw them live last year and thy cracked me up, hilarious guys and good music. They did this one thing where they had a radio on stage and played whatever came on the radio and britney spears came on, loool so you can just imagine what happened next.

oh charmed and fastlane have good music too, fastlane played The Streets the other day but i would have to say that show suck ass.

its a stupid show about some people undercover for the police, ive only seen like 15 minutes of it and they played pretty good music during those 15 minutes.

i think buffy has the best soundtrack. when they used warning sign in one episode i was so thrilled. i love that show!

hmmm...hard question :? royal family, good theme tune-oasis half the world away

but id have to say smallville :D

this reminds me...anyone ever see that show Freaks & Geeks? It had good music. It was set in Detroit in the 80's It was sort of similar to the Wonder Years. Both had great theme songs.. Freaks & Geeks used a really rockin' song by Joan Jett and Wonder Years of course had Joe Cocker singing Get By With A Little Help From My Friends :)

-Greg

yep it was. Joe Cocker's version is my fave though- such a great voice on that song

If we're talking theme songs....Wonder Years takes the cake...i love Joe Cocker! :)
