I miss my Nana and friends, my mum is all in the way in Ethiopia I sent her a email today...

I will see my nana on Sunday for her 80th Birthday I am Ok though..

I am in good company today !

I got good sleep, today, I have the whole flat to myself...

oh, yesterday? you mean at dinner time?

yesterday i also had a special dinner, but only with my parents, which was very nice and they gave me presents, as well.

cheese?? mmm.. queso... don't know the kind of cheese you're talking about, though.

oh, i remember that. Your lovely Grandmother!:nice:

the whole flat for yourself?? lucky you!

i'm glad to know you're working for a good company.

I worked yesterday night too, no everyone in work brought in some food and since we come from different places, we had special food from those places..

I forgot what it was all called though..

I liked the queso the most

Its a hard cheese I will try and google it now !

una memento por favor...

yo buscomos

aaah! i think you're talking about "queso manchego", am i right? It's made of the milk of the sheeps if i recall correctly and it is original from La Mancha, that's why it's called that way.

aww. then you had a mixture of foods. I'm sure it was nice, what's more, you had to chance food from other countries. Surely you tried something new you really liked! :nice:

I think so...

Yes it is all good... we had some pie from Sardina which is trypical for fiestas

also some salads...

Some Hummis (its a syian dish)

Some nuts

Also some french salad...

Also some french wine and vodka and Redbull...

We all had a nice time...

I also leant a new phrase... mira el primero lino de mi sig...

its a cool phrase... firstly though when it comes to saying it.. I will master the first part first

*yummy* :wideeyed:

i have never tried some of the foods you mentioned.

by the way... how come you wrote in your signature "me caes de puta madre"? haha

edit: my god!!! telepathy!!! :stunned: i wrote it before reading your post!

Its a new phrase I learnt yesterday !

I have always wanted to tell people I get on well with them, but the only way.. I knew before hand was to say me gustas.. and that is too deep as you only say that in a romantic situation

did someone tell you "me caes de puta madre"?

do you exactly know its meaning? :P

something I like I get on with you well.. ( is the first part)

The second part with it, I get on with you I get on with you well like mother f--K

a word to word transaltion in english would not make sense !

Exactly, when you say "me gustas" it's as if you were saying to the other person " i like you" (and i love you somehow), and as you said it's too strong for saying to a friend, but you could tell him/her such thing, though.

When you say I love you, people usually say: "te quiero" here.

you could also say: me caes muy bien, eres muy simpático/simpática, eres tan agradable and this kind of stuff.

"de puta madre" wouldn't make sense at all in English, that's for sure.

it's just one of the spanish expressions which do not have translation.

Yes I do use "eres muy simpático/simpática often ´"...

but using the same word all the time sometimes gets to usual...

I sent a message to my friend I told you about whose boyfriend I fell out with today..

Nothing too deep, but its a start I am trying. I dont hurt anymore over that, like I did...

well, it may get usual but it's also a good thing, 'cos you'll remember these words. (that's what i do when i learn new english expressions, i try to use them, so in this way i'll be able to remember them, otherwise, i'd easily forget them).

eres muy simpático it's a very common thing to say. Also, me caes muy bien / genial. or even... estoy tan bien contigo (but you could say this to a friend either to a lover)

Merry Christmas Julia!!!

caram!!! :surprised:

Was I incorrect in my spelling on this...

a start?

do you feel something more than a friendship for this friend?

No... just care a bit...

I meant to post this before I seen it all over barcelona

Bones Festes

I seen it in the Juilas Thread and you made a suprasied smily

no, Daryl!

I wrote "caram", which is a catalan interjection that shows surprise. I was surprised 'cos of what you wrote to Julia: "Bones festes", i think. This was catalan, not spanish, you know? and i told all my friends and family Bones Festes these days, but i didn't expect you to write it. In spanish you would say: Felices Fiestas!

I did feel more than a friendship at one point.. but not now !
