I wrote "caram", which is a catalan interjection that shows surprise. I was surprised 'cos of what you wrote to Julia: "Bones festes", i think. This was catalan, not spanish, you know? and i told all my friends and family Bones Festes these days, but i didn't expect you to write it. In spanish you would say: Felices Fiestas!

 

 

Cool so I now know another catalan phrase...

 

I seen it here when I came in November last year I notices the Bones part is almost my second name, it just had the "s" on the end, and I though how cool !!

 

My surmane means somehing very positive in Catalan !

yes, Bones is something really positive.

We also say "Bones!", instead of saying hello, but in colloquial language, when you meet with a friend, or even a relative... but you would not say "Bones" to your boss, or at least i don't think it'd be too common. ;)

Yes I seen it on the top of Corte ingles the last time I came, when I asked someone what it meant they where very happy I asked..

 

I just thought I spelt it wrong before...

well, but if you pay attention, you'll realise it's "written" in catalan and spanish. At the most important entrance of Corte Ingles, you can see the illuminated lights with "Bones Festes", and from Plaça Catalunya view you can see "Felices Fiestas".

take a lot of pictures of me and then i pick up the ones which i look better. ;)
