It might be down to the weather being crappy compared to Barcelona.

I suppose there are more facts besides the bad weather that have left him this impression of disappointment (?)

 

but yeah, it's usually raining in Manchester - as far as I know - and here the weather is much warmer...

i don't think it's the rain that i'd mind but the fact that the weather constantly changes. it's like sunny for ten minutes, then it starts raining and it's sunny for another five minutes.

I know. I experienced that when I was in London!!

welcome back to barcelona!! how come that you didn't like Manchester?

It was cold... the kids on the street have no respect for their elders they just insult you when you walk the street. 3 people got shot on new years eve..

 

I had not even got of the plane and someone threatend to beat me up on the plane, and all I did was look at them, when I was getting my bag from the hold above my seat.. its sad I feel bad about Manchester these days..

 

My friend though that I stayed with was very good to me, he even got me some spanish and catalan, Jamon to make me feel at home. I also went to see my Nana... and met one of my uncles and cousins and his wife for the 1st time in 11 years... next time I go back to the UK, I will spend some more time in my home time of Leicester so I can meet more of my mothers family.. since me and my mum moved to Mancheser when I was 13, we lost contact and it would be good to get to know them again

 

I have added some new pictures and a video of myself on Facebook, have a look they are funny.

 

iris how was your nadal was it good I hope so, next year I will be here for new year... I am still yet to experince the grapes on new years night..

 

Sally I hope you have a safe trip back to Liverpool, and enjoy your time.. how long are you going for.. Also Sally are you on Facebook yet ??

My Nadal was good as well as Sant Esteve (26th) but it was much better for me the New Years' eve. I disguised as catwoman and I had dinner with my family and then I was with some friends... :nice:

that's sad. you hear about people getting shot in liverpool as well but thankfully i personally having made any bad experiences. my purse got robbed once [no joke please:P] and that's it. but a lot of scary thing do happen around here.

 

good to hear you had a good time with your family at least. i totally understand how you feel about manchester. i imagine those things happen in most major cities in the uk.

 

thanks! i'm not sure... i'll probably be staying for six months or so. i might go back for the european championship but i'll spend most of the time in england.

 

i am on facebook but i haven't really used it yet. i haven't got a picture yet either... i'm gonna get a digital camera soon though. i'm probably gonna use it more often in the future as my english friends obviously aren't on on the german version.
