Yellowcard use SOS light set in video!

Featured Replies

I was just browsing around mtv.com and i seen a pic of Yellowcards new video "Lights and Sounds."And i was like hey those lights look like they could be the light set from speed of sound. So i decided to check out the video and wouldnt you know it,they were using the same light set up as Speed of Sound but it was a little smaller.I thought this was funny.Ofcourse Coldplays light show was much bigger and better!Anyways if u want to check it out just go to mtv.com an look for the video.

Intresting. Being a fan of both bands I'm surprised I've never noticed that myself. I'll have to watch both videos out again and compare.

i love the black... i wonder who their tailor is... :wink3:

and the song itself.. love the arrangement.. wonder where

they got that idea from.. :wink3:

Didn't Coldplay get the light thing from U2? Everyone says that..

U2 and Coldplay DO have similarities in some of their videos (like the lights in City of Blinding Lights and Speed of Sound), but I don't think any were intentionally copied. Maybe inspired, I like that word better.

I don't know anything about Yellowcard, except they had some annoying song last year that all my friends were obsessed with. But I mean....... putting bright lighting backgrounds in videos is a generic things for bands lately, isn't it?

wait.... theres a band called YELLOWcards, who have a song light and sound

just seems like their mixing coldplay songs up...like yellow in their name, then their song which is kinda similar too speed of sound..

is it just me that noticed this? :/

So true. The Killers did the lights thing in "Somebody Told Me" and no one said peep.

It's just very popular right now.

^^^yup thats the same thing i was thinking when i saw yewllowcards video today

haha no, Yellowcard have been around for years and sound NOTHING like Coldplay (Coldplay=good, Yellowcard=TERRIBLE). YC are more "pop punk", and more likely to be loved by 12 years old girls.
