Simply Red are disappearing forever, fancy spending the final gig playing the "hits" on ITV1 in between advert breaks :laugh3:

How would you know that? Watching it, are we?

yes, how did you guess!

Bit of a giveaway, I'd say.:P

So are Simply Red one of your "guilty pleasures", or did Jen force you to watch it?

Just flicked from watching Read Madrid. Phil Collins played an hour set this time last week, he was excellent. Maybe next week it'll be The Lightning Seeds or perhaps damp, damp, damp! :laugh3:

I wasn't very impressed with Phil Collins, as I felt his cover versions weren't a patch on the originals.

I only liked the new single and "Two Hearts".

I actually saw him in concert a few times some years ago, but I don't think I'd bother now, as I think he's a pale shadow of what he was in his heyday.

I think he did well considering he can hardly move his head, never mind play guitar or drums. Most of my favourite Phil Collins songs came from But Seriously... which is not full of his "hits". That said it was nice to see him play something different, even if he was a pale shadow of the Phil Collins of old!

I just feel that once singers/bands start doing 'cover' albums, they're on their way out.:wink2:

His last couple of studio albums were pretty awful IMO.

Pity he's unable to play the drums any more. I feel a bit sorry for him for that, seeing as he was pretty skilled at it.:(

So do you actually like Simply Red, or are you just watching it to take the p*ss?

I have no opinion on Simply Red, he's a local guy and he's apparently given up, but the show hasn't said why its "the last time" :laugh3:

The last time as Simply Red...

...For around 5 years :P

I bet he'll be spotted walking up to Old Trafford of a matchday tucking into a pie or two!

Simply Fed?

Simply Fed has now disappeared from our screens... until the next time!

Unless, of course, he's now Simply Dead.

didn't he look like that prior to tonight's performance? :P

Tbh, he's appeared to be Sick Hucknall for several years. Looks very rough close up!:stunned:

Maybe that's why he walks about with shades on, even if its overcast, cloudy or dark!
