Ah... I have a bit a stupid question (sorry!). :embarrased:

 

I know bits of Manchester but I've never actually been to the M.E.N. before. I read that Manchester Victoria station is right next to the MEN -- is that right or is there a bit of a walking distance between them? Also, are there any places to just hang around (in the warmth!) before you can go into the place?

I'm sure there'll be some places nearby where you can pop into to keep warm - can actually go into the arena and 'loiter'???

The train stops at Victoria which is practically around the corner from the MEN, I'd say about 5 mins even less to get to the big steps where you queue, but if you wanted to go to the gates where the band will probably go through..you have to walk for about 10 mins, under a bridge then your there. Has anyone seen the band going into the arena before?

 

From what I remember, theres a little cafe inside the station...so if your desperate for a cuppa, its not far from the station :P

I'm so excited now I feel kind of sick! :o :lol: I couldn't sleep last night because I was thinking about tomorrow; I even started getting randomly emotional... which is bizarre because I'm not usually an expressive person :lol: I just don't know what I'll do when Coldplay step on stage. I'll probably become hysterical and scream my head off or something similar... I hope the people in the seats around me won't mind too much :blush: :P

My girlfriend booked the tickets through a company called clickfortickets.co.uk - they still havent arrived, and I now doubt they will.

 

A very generous worker on my girlfriends team has offered to let me buy his, face value, as the tickets are a present for my mum for xmas 9Im going aswell ha)

 

Hopefully I my girlfriend can claim this money back somehow, and hopefully the night itself will be as good as the 4th July gig (my first experience of coldplay live)

 

Any ideas on what time it may finish tomorrow? My last train back is at 23.10 :confused:

It finishes around 11ish, so you may have to leave before the end which isnt good? :/

Friday at Earls Court was fantastic. "Trouble" would make it better tonight.

I really can't wait for tonight! I'm in school right nowm supposed to be doing work, but I couldn't help myself, I had to come on here :D I couldn't sleep at all last night, every Coldplay song under the sun kept entering my mind!!! I probably won't be on here again today so everybody that's going tonight have an amazing time and enjoy it, and I hope everybody else that's been over the past few days have had a great time also, AND everyone that's seen them and every Coldplay fan in the entire world! Boy I'm in a particularly good mood today!

I'm lucky because my Xmas holidays started today, but it does mean I'm stuck with nothing to do to pass the time :stunned:

 

About the trains, when I went to the Bolton concert, the trains were held, and people directed to their trains, so maybe we will all be ok getting home that way (without having to skip the end of the concert). :confused:

Ahhhhh!!!! The gig last night was frigging amazing!!! :lol:

 

I'm still shocked that I was actually there, I was just so overwhelmed to see the band and they lived upto all my expectations!!!

 

I got pretty close to them too, well I should think so too after waiting 6 hours :/

 

It was worth the wait though. I enjoyed every minute of it, Clocks was mindblowing!!! :stunned:

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! What an amazing show! I still can't believe it. A lot of it is a blur to be honest cos I was on cloud 9 for the whole show lol, but I also managed to get really close too, which I'm still shocked about - I could see Chris' sweat really well!!! Oh my gosh, I've started writing a proper 'report' on the concert which I'll post as soon as possible, along with my photos, video clips and sound recordings (the latter 2 aren't amazing but I love 'em all the same lol!) I might have bumped into you Rachel, who knows lol. I hope everyone had a fab time and I hope loads more people can TALK (yikes, I'm obsessed!) about their experiences and post some pictures and recordings. How the hell did Chris run the whole length of the arena in what seemed like 10 seconds!!! That was the funniest thing ever! I thought he was milling around the front and he was on the balcony! Ahhh, the ballooons - "Cummon man" trying to pop them lol. "You aint missing much up there at the back in terms of seeing the size of our balls" - (edit where appropriate I don't mind - it just has to be shared though :lol: ), "97th best looking band in the world". Man, so many great quotes I'm struggling to remember them all. Sorry if this should be in the 'aftermath' thread but I've really gotta get some stuff off my chest. I didn't wanna talk about it too much in my school cos my best mate couldn't get a ticket and is gutted he couldn't go, so hopefully you'll appreciate some fun stories from me! One more thing, during the encore waiting for the guys to come back on, it was so incredible to see THE WHOLE OF THE ARENA applauding each other - I've never experienced anything like that before, shows how amazing Coldplay fans are. And from my time at the concert I can honestly say Coldplayfans ARE the coolest people in the world. OK, SERIOUSLY last thing, I think someone posted that they knew someone that looked exactly like Guy - I don't know if this was THAT 'Guy' but someone standing by me, well, I think it actually could have been Guy himself, or possibly his twin brother! OK, peace out folks, speak soon and remember that you will never be as good looking as Duran Duran.

Fooking great show, loved ashcroft he set was amazing but i wish he would shut up about george! GOD! Coldplay set was dissapoining to say the least i would have liked a little bit more from parachutes but it was still amazing Chris fucking up 2 times was hilerious and the view was great as well. i wish i was standing but i got in there so im made up! Block 116, Row S, Seat 15. YES!

I went too!!! It was amazing and Chris and duran duran lol funky! ahh and when chris ran to the back of the arena was mint! even tho i was right at the front standing lol :P

Oh and one of the big balloon thingys landed on my uncles head lol still wouldnt burst tho :rolleyes: :lol:

I had some fuckin bitch in front of me dancing to all the singles with her hip hop moves :angry: and pissin everyone off around by me!!! i struggled to see clocks and though fuck it to talk in standing up. SHE DIDNT STAND FOR THE ENCORE THOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! amazing gig though

It was amazing. Can't believe its all over now. It's like a massive blur. Loved every second of it. Loved 'White Shadows' when chris grapped jonny and tuck him to the front of the stage then dragged him to the floor it was well funny. Then jouring 'In My Place' he just ran into the audience. It was best concert of theirs I have been to :D :D
