WOW…..well where do I start??? I’ve just had the best two nights of my whole life, so I thought I’d better tell you guys all about it!!! :)

 

Ok…well on day 1 (14/12) I arrived at Earls Court at around 10.15am with my friend, and after a lot of moving about by Earls Court staff we finally ended up in the right place for the standing que. By that time there were about 8 people already there, so not too bad at all. It was a loooong day stood out in the cold but we had a lot of fun…..Coldplay fans really are the best, everyone was so chatty and friendly, it was awesome. :)

So we eventually got let inside, but what followed was mayhem…it was very poorly organised and to cut a long story short, a lot of people who got there hours and hours later than us lot ended up on the barrier, which seems pretty unfair. :/ But hey, I can’t grumble, 'cos although I wasn’t in the centre, I was on the barrier! So I was a very very happy bunny! :D

The support act, Richard Ashcroft, was INCREDIBLE. :stunned: I forgot how many fantastic song’s he’s written. He really is a legend – or as one bloke behind me shouted ‘Richard you’re the bollocks!’ :lol: . He was amazing, and kept thanking Coldplay for helping him out so much, and he even repeatedly sang at the end of one song “Thankyou Coldplay for letting me be myself again”. Bless him.

When the boys walked out on stage, it felt like i was dreaming. It seemed SO surreal that they were right infront of me; I couldn’t quite take it all in. The crowd were so hyped, and you could see the boys were loving the response they were getting. To be honest, a lot of the concert that night is a blur…..a very happy blur though! :lol:

But here’s the best part….I cant remember what song it was during, but quite near the end, Chris jumped down off the stage and ran past me. As he ran past I TOUCHED HIM!!!!!!!!! :stunned: Yep, I touched Chris Martin’s sweaty back. :stunned: I just stood there, stunned, staring at my friend like a weirdo. I couldn’t even get words out of my mouth, it was nuts. I then (oh the shame :embarressed: ) proceeded to lick the sweaty fingers that touched him – how much of a freak am I?!?!? :freak: :rolleyes4: :roll: Hahaha. :lol:

So…Day 2 (15/12). I went alone into London, and arrived at Earls Court around 10.15am again. I was the first one there, until Nettie arrived and we found two nice girls who were also waiting and sat with them. It was extra extra cold yesterday, but me and Nettie, and two other girls, kept our spirits up with our beautiful ( :lol: ) renditions of every Coldplay song ever made, haha. :lol: It was so much fun.

Me and Nettie chatted to the security guys, who were lovely, and they promised today would be more organised and that we would definitely be at the front centre, as we deserved to be. Well, it turned out they were right, and after a huge sprint to the entrance (no one was overtaking me today! :angry: ), I got to the front row where wonderful Nettie had saved me a space next to her, right smack dead in the centre (THANKYOU SO MUCH NETTIE, LUV YA!!!! :kiss: ). I was on cloud nine. I couldn’t believe I could get any closer than yesterday, but I was. :stunned:

Richard Ashcroft was again, amaaazing. He’s so passionate when he’s on stage, its great to watch.

So the concert began, and this night became the best night of my whole life. Thank god I went for it and bought that second ticket. It was so much better than the night before (which I didn’t even think was possible), for so many reasons. For a start, the crowd seemed much better – well, the people around me anyway. They were all as passionate and emotional as I was, which was awesome, as the night before I was the only one where I was stood really going totally crazy. Chris and Jonny were really funny and were up to their usual gay shenanigans, haha. :lol: Love it.

After ‘Til Kingdom Come’ they played and AMAAAZING acoustic/folky version of Madonna’s ‘Hung Up’. It was so frickin’ cool, Chris’s voice sounded beautiful, and the crowd were all singing along like mad. Just awesome. :thumbsup:

Then, Chris goes "I know, let’s play Green Eyes" – I nearly died. :dead: It was so good to hear it live, and the whole arena was singing along to every word. Chris had every person in that place right in the palm of his hand.

THEN :stunned: -they played ‘Shiver’. As you guys know, this is my favourite song of all time, and when he struck up those opening chords I had a huge lump in my throat. I was so happy. :dizzy: They did it so well, and seemed to all really enjoy playing it again. That just made my evening complete, I was on top of the world! :D

Nettie had made two really cool banners, which I was already loving her for because it caught the boys eyes during Til Kingdom Come. (Chris mentioned something about "good looking Will" so we held up the banner with ‘Will-Yum’ written on it and shouted “Will Yum! Will Yum! Will Yum!”) Then, the band’s photographer, a lovely lady called Penny, (she had already photographed the banner earlier) came over to me during the show and handed me a set list (YAY!!! :D ), which I thought was really kind of her. But then she signaled to turn it over and she had written:

 

‘Hiya. You two are obviously mad keen Coldplay fans. Can you hang about a bit after the gig to interview for website/DVD? Cheers, Penny (tour photographer).’

 

So at the end we stayed behind and her and the camera man (who was also really nice) recorded us being asked a few short questions about Coldplay and the show, and it could possibly be on the DVD they are making. :stunned: How cool is that?! Wooooot!

 

There were lots of other cool moments, like when Nettie and me were shouting ‘GUY!!! You’re SO SEXXXY!!!!’ :lol: and at first he ignored us, but then he quickly looked right at my face, then kinda looked down and smiled. I nearly died I swear. :dead:

But this is getting quite long now, so I’m gonna leave it at that. I’m on such a high right now…..wow. My ears are still ringing, my arms and chest are covered in bruises from the rail, and I have no sound in my voice from screaming so much…..but it was so worth it. :D Best night of my whole life.

All I can say is wow Steph!! You and Nettie musta had a fantastic time at the front both night....that is SO DAMN COOL about the dvd.

 

....on Wednesday I was close to the front (bout 5/6 ppl back). When Chris threw his camera, it was heading straight for me....but the man in front of me got it. (he looked foreign and didnt know any words of the songs)...i was so annoyed...then later the man took the camera out and started takin more pics of the concert....i wanted to steal it off him....I was seriously contemplating it....but the real thing was I really really just wanted to touch it....I was like CHRIS TOUCHED THAT CAMERA....awwww. I gave the man my email tho, so hopefully he'll send me some of the pix (i can hope! :/ ).

 

Anyway thanks for your report....Im so jealous they played green eyes AND shiver AND trouble!!!!!!!! I felt pretty much like you, seeing them in front of me was just incredible and being so close!!!! for the first 5mins i was just in awe...the concert passed like a surreal blur but was the best night of my life!!!! :heart:

 

Shame you missed the camera. Last night Chris threw his into the front row, just left of me.

 

I just hope that they people who catch these cameras flaming well get the films developed, scan the pix and upload them for EVERYONE! :angry: :lol:
