Report from Earls Court Friday 17th December

Featured Replies

A very average concert if im being honest with a very poor setlist

Songs like How you see the world ? and Average album tracks are just not good enough for earls court.

Coldplay can have you in the palm of their hand but they can also take the piss.

Richard Ashcroft - 8/10

Coldplay 6/10

:stunned:

What was the set list? If its anything like what they played on 14&15, it was a bloody good set list!!! No 'average album tracks' were heard while i was there! :/

hahaha, your having a laugh mate....I was down on the bar and it was great. I've been to my fair share of Coldplay gigs and this was just as good as any....the band really were giving it their all.

Man.. disses the set and then doesn't even post it.

^Then is was effing AWESOME!!!!!!! :D

There's always one who's gotta rain on the parade

I think it was similar to the wednesday gig' date=' if not the same.[/quote']

It was the same...

Obvious, you don't know your arse from your elbow because it was Friday the 16TH OF DECEMBER!

Bloody hell! Get it right...

And I give the band 1,000,000 out of 10 for their efforts. It was another blinding performance.

it was another generic performance actually. As i've said in another thread, didnt hate it but didnt love it.

Also don't hate coldplay as they are one of my fave bands but i'm finding the 2 concert experiences i have of them to be rather underwhelming when i hold them next to other bands i have seen. You can't really say he's trying to piss on your parade, if it's his opinion it's his opinion.

You are clearly going to love anything coldplay do (how this is turning into a radiohead forum teehee) but others can find indiference with familiarity.

No, you are wrong. I think I know best. I don't just blindly love everything Coldplay. You just got this one wrong.

Whoops! Wrong thread...

This thread is obviously a wind-up and should be ignored by everyone!! ;)

having been to 2 coldplay concerts this year i have to say that friday's wasn't quite as good as expected. Chris Martin's voice was not as good as usual and they looked quite tired, at the begining the piano was also out of tune and i didn't enjoy speed of sound as i normally do. however it got better and one thing you can't deny is that, considering how exhausted they seemed Chris tried to jump and talk and interact as much as he could. he left the public to sing a lot, probably to rest his voice... and as i said the piano wasn't as good as the first concert i did (Gaoux, south of france, july 14th).

i don't think we can say it was their best but they gave all they had left... i think. would love to see them again though :)
