Favourite Movie Scenes

well one of mine is from the Pride and Prejudice mini-series (with Colin Firth), but that qualifies enough for a movie...

its in the 5th episode where Mr Darcy is simply staring at Elizabeth Bennet as she plays the piano. the way he looks is priceless and he really captured a man in love... - whole scene is beautiful...

Braindead, when Lionel takes on the hordes of undead zombies coming out if his basement with a big lawnmower

I just love the final scene with the T-Rex in Jurassic Park where the JP banner flutters down in front of him in the museum. Pure genius. I love that movie. :smug:

Or any scene in Rushmore.

the scene in Say Anything where Lloyd is standing outside her house with the boombox over his head playing their song!

Sally_, I love your avatar pic!

Forest Gump.

When Forest show his ass to the president. Haha.

How about in the original Psycho at the end when Norman Bates is sitting at the police office and you can hear the voice of his "mother" in his head??? Pretty damn creepy. Well, every scene in that movie is a classic.

^ that reminds me of another good scene:

in the Princess Bride in the swordfight scene between Inigo and Westley when Inigo says "i lied, im right handed" and switches the sword from his left to hi right. then Westley says "i lied too, im also right handed"..

watch that movie, its Classic...

"My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."

IN NOTHING HILL WHERE JULIA ROBERTS GIVES TO HUGH GRANT A CHAGGAL PAINTING AND SAYS THE WONDERFUL LINE OF "ONLY JUST A GIRL STANDING IN FRONT OF A BOY"

OHHHH SO PRETTY....

hmm i sorta remember that line, and i thought it was too cheesy...

that movie was great. ANY of the scenes with Rhys Ifans was GREAT!

In Elephant when John is crying in an empty classroom.

American Beauty

where Ricky's dad confronts him in his bedroom, accuses him of being gay and tells him he never wants to see him again. Brilliantly done.

The Usual Suspects

the whole sequence at the end where you find out who Kaiser Soze is. This is by far the best ending to any film ever.

Reservoir Dogs

the breakfast scene at the start.

The Silence Of The Lambs

"What did you see, Clarice?"

"Lambs. They were screaming."

i'll probably come up with some more in due course...

Oh I like American Beauty, forgot to list it in best movie thread

Well, in Munich, I love the scene when Avner and the Mossad agents go to Beirut and battle it out against the terrorists, awesome action scene. And I thought that Steven Spielberg did a great job with the hotel bombing sequence. (When Avner turns off his light, and all of a sudden the wall explodes right beside him).

And I liked in Syriana when George Clooney confronts Christopher Plummer in the diner about the investigation.

ooh remember the scene in Cruel Intentions where Sarah Michelle Gellar's character gets found out about her evil ways by the school, and Bittersweet Symphony was playing? that was a great scene...

Pretty Woman - the scene where Julia Roberts goes back to the posh shop in her new clothes with all her bags of shopping and asks if they work on commission.

My favorite scene in any movie has to be the scene in Lord of the Rings: Return of the King when they all bow down to him at the end.

Or Dax getting ripped apart in Shaun of the Dead. I'm not sure.

My favourite has to be from Shawshank Redemption when Andy is shown escaping and at the end throwing his arms in the air in the pond. Just awesome.
