just a question.. on the parachutes-era Chris went depressed and blamed Will that everything that went wrong was all his mistakes, and so on.. then Chris felt sorry about that, so he wrote Sparks for Will, perhaps? the lyrics's like

Yeah Chris kicked Will out of the band and blamed everything going wrong in the studio on him. After Chris begged and begged Will to return and he wouldn't, until they settled some ground rules that Will made. Chris says that in a small club show I have.

 

But to my understanding he wrote Trouble about that, not Sparks. And hey I have that book too watermelonc1! It's great. :D

Yeah I'm pretty sure Trouble was written about that whole situation between Chris and Will. At least that's what I've heard/read. :cool:

Oh man. It's not at all a bother, but I just have no idea which show it was. It could've also been an interview.. I can't remember, but I'll see if i can sort out through the 40+ GB of coldplay stuff and find it.

 

It's nothing rare though, btw. Chris just says how he kicked Will out and after he begged, Will finally agreed to come back to the band if everything is split 4 ways. So all their profits and song/music credits is evenly split between all of them, and Chris can't kick any of the members out any more than they could kick him out.

That happened before Parachutes was released. When they were still in the process of recording/writing it.

 

No idea what got Chris off his rocker like that.. he says he blamed everything going badly in the studio on Will, so I'm assuming the recording process wasn't going well and he "lost his head". :wink:

Well, they should be beyond the "studio fights" phase of their careers by now. Sparks is my favorite song, I hope it's not about manly love, lol. Sparks lyrics seem like they're written to a woman.
