YAY!

 

I've just read that Coldplay is nominated for the German music award "ECHO". It is seen as the most important music award after the Grammy.

 

Coldplay is nominated in the categorie "Group of the year (international)":

 

- Bon Jovi

- Coldplay

- Depeche Mode

- Rolling Stones

- The Black Eyed Peas

 

A jury will decide who's gonna win, basis for the decision is the question of the band with the most successful album in Germany between the 01.03.2005 - 15.02.2006, that means, best chart position (media control).

 

The event takes place on march 12th in Berlin.

I will definately watch it today. The show starts at 08:15pm on RTL. Hope Coldplay (best group international), "Wir sind Helden" (best group national) and "Farin Urlaub" (best artist national) will get an award! :smiley:

 

And if "Tokio Hotel" will win that award instead of "Wir sind Helden" I will jump out of the window! :beadyeyes2: :annoyed:

 

Unfortunately I haven't heard that Coldplay will perform there. I think they are only nominated for that one award. :\

No, there were a few awards for national act at the beginning of the show. Coldplay is nominated for best international act, but I don't think they'll win and they aren't at the ceremony in Berlin.

Yeah "Wir sind Helden" are best group national!

 

Now, Bob Geldof gets an award for Live 8 and other projects! :)
