check this out, that's also from a girl that met coldplay in seattle...-->>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

"Let me preface this by saying I would not have traded this night for anything but in the interest of full clarity - I want to tell you every emotion and experience I had.

I am sorry I didn't post last night. Here is how it went:

My sister and I arrived at the radio station to pick up our information packet (which was actually just a piece of paper with the time, place, and rules. The biggest most obvious rule was:

NO CAMERAS ALLOWED!!! They will be confiscated!

Needless to say I was devastated! My sister and I weighed the possiblity of getting caught against the prices of our cameras and decided we would respect the bands wishes. Besides, we understood that this is the first show on the Twisted Logic portion of the tour and they didn't want things leaked (that was our reasoning anyhow).

We arrived at the venue a little early because the radio station had also warned that anyone even a minute late would forfeit their spot! We ended up being just fine and of course, we didn't get to go in until 15 minutes after the time we were told we would be late.

The first person we met once we got inside was their head of security - A WOMAN- I thought that was so completely cool! Her name is Jackie and she is a real sweetie.

One of the first things she said to us was -

"We ask you to not take any pictures while the guys are onstage, but once they are coming around to meet you, you can take as many pictures as you like"

The entire lot of us (~45 - 50 people total) errupted in cries of NOOOOOOO! We told Jackie the radio station wouldn't let us bring in our cameras and she looked surprised by that. We all turned to the radio station guy and started begging him to let us go grab them and of course he said no.

It was then that I got the clear picture that the radio station wanted to keep a tight leash on us; they wanted full control of everything that came out of there.

Jackie then took us inside and the station told us we would be sitting in section 115 (the first section off of the floor, on the Guy side of the stage). Once again, we were a little bummed that we wouldn't be able to be on the floor, they hadn't even set up the chairs at the fron of the stage yet so we could have been right there!

Soon, my disappointed vanished when I looked at the side of the stage, partially hidden behind a curtain, I saw none other than the most adorable little girl in the world:

APPLE!!!!!

Both Apple and Gwyneth (oh yes she is adorably preggers) were there! I almost didn't notice when Chris and Guy came out on the stage I was so taken by the girls!

Chris came out and the first thing he said was, "Hi Everyone - thank you for coming. You can all come down here or wander around of you want" and right away, the guy from the station ran down to tell Chris that the station wasn't letting us out of our section! Chris looked a bit sheepish and said "Or maybe not". He then said, "Please don't take any pictures while we are on stage but when we come over to talk to you, take all of the pictures you want" A few of us shouted out that the station wouldn't let us bring in cameras and Chris looked surprised by that, too!

I should have known Coldplay wouldn't mind us bringing in cameras and now I wish I would have broken the rules - see what I get for being good!?!?! I had even told my sister (once we saw the rule) that i bet the record company was behind this because I know the band hasn't cared in the past.

Anyhow, I then said to hi to Guy (who was letting Chris do all of the talking and he said Hi back and waved). My sister, a new friend Melissa and I seemed to be the only people willing to talk back to Chris as he was chatting us all up before they started the songs. We told him how adorable Apple looked and he got a very concerned look on his face and he said, "Thank you but please don't take any pictures of her - she is only a baby!" We thought that was absolutely precious what a protective Daddy he is!!!

Chris went back up on stage and was soon joined by Will and Jonny - who I also said hello and waved to. Chris told us that they were going to do Politik first and then they had to do a few songs they actually needed to practice because they "didn't know them".

Here are the songs in order:

Politik

The Hardest Part

Trouble

Walk the Line (Johnny Cash)

Talk

Here are the things that happened during the songs:

Politik – Chris was getting kind of goofy on the piano – messed up a couple of times – and giggled about it some. Apple and Gwyneth danced. Apple had on her adorable pink ear protectors and she had a long armed monkey doll that she danced with at first and then threw on the floor because she wanted to really start to boogie! She even stopped a couple of times to lay down on the floor with her legs straight up in the air in what I can only assume was some sort of break dancing pose she liked to do. You could tell both Gwyneth and Apple were really enjoying it. Fiona Apple also came out to watch but sat away from us and really didn’t even acknowledge we were there.

The Hardest Part – Chris mentioned that the piano sounded muffled (I think it sound a little bit off key actually but since the place was essentially empty, it could have been a trick of the echo). Apple and Gwyneth danced the entire song again and in spite of never having seen them perform this song, I really barely paid attention to the stage because Apple was stealing the show! Maybe it was because I am a parent but I also think because it really did make it seem more intimate.

Trouble – they started by doing a beautiful “bubbles” effect with the lighting and once they started playing the actual song, Chris was singing it in a deep bass instead of falsetto. I think he was just trying to save his voice for tonight. Part of the way through he went back to regular. Apple started to lose interest since it was a slow song so she started to run around (with Mommy Gwyneth in tow) and next thing we knew, Apple was up on the side of the stage heading toward Daddy Chris on the piano. Gwyneth got Apple to come back to her before she made it all the way to Daddy and then the two of them disappeared backstage – we didn’t get to see them again.  When they were done with Trouble – Chris joked that he thought they would sell more tickets than this – if only they had got more airplay in the states .

Walk the Line – Before they sang this, Chris told us that we would be the first people in the world to hear them perform this! He also said that we would help them decide if they wanted to play it for this tour or to stick with Ring of Fire. Chris then took the lyrics and taped them to Will’s back as Will was sitting at the piano. For this song – Will was on piano, Guy was on harmonica and Chris and Jonny were on acoustic guitars. It was a really fun version of it. They stumbled a few times and laughed some but I think it would be great to do since I had all ready heard them do Ring of Fire a few months ago. When they were done, everyone clapped (a few of us hollered our excitement but I don’t think they got the reception they were hoping for) Chris said, “Shit – maybe we’ll stick with Ring of Fire” and the rest of the guys laughed. A few of us yelled NOOO! Walk the Line and one guy in back said Ring of Fire so then I laughed and hollered A Boy Named Sue! That made the guys laugh. I think we got them to stick with Walk the Line; I will see tonight and let you know.

Talk – Again, Chris sang in a bass voice for the first few lines. He then started singing the first verse again (instead of the second verse) and started cracking up. It seemed like they were getting a little tired so Chris said, “That’s it. The party’s over – now we will come over to meet all of you.”

The only thing I was surprised about watching them was the lack of interaction between Jonny and Chris – maybe it was because Gwyneth was there .

They all came down off of the stage and stood in front of our section. The station guy wanted us to walk down to get them to sign only one thing each in groups of eight. My sister, Melissa, her husband Aaron and I wanted to be in the last group so we would be less likely to be rushed .

We had brought a few things each to sign so we then had to decide which one thing. I decide to ask the guys to sign a birthday card for Mark (my husband) since yesterday was his birthday and he couldn’t get the time off of work to go with me. My sister decided to have them sign a vinyl remix of Clocks – very rare and very cool.

We were indeed in the last group to go through. I first talked to Guy. He was very sweet and such a cutie! I told him about my husband not being able to come and he was happy to sign the card for him. I then gave him the cuff and the bracelet for his wife. You could tell he was really touched by both items. He even said, “Hey – that’s my wife!” in a very pleased tone. Next was Jonny – he was also very surprised and touched by the gifts. I told him that I hoped she was still his girlfriend and he laughed and said that she was . Before I moved on to Chris, I asked Jonny and Guy for a group hug and they very graciously agreed – woooohooo not much of a better place to be then crammed in between Guy and Jonny!

Once I got to Chris, he was so thankful for the gifts (and he also really like the necklace I was wearing – another one of my creations) that after he signed Mark’s birthday card, he asked if he could sign the pass that I was wearing around my neck. He grabbed it and wrote – “Hi Chrissie Thanks! Love, Chris” yep, that’s right – LOVE Chris hehehehe! He was so sweet so I gave him a hug as well.

Last but of course not least was Will. He was really a sweetie, signed my card and then when I gave him his gifts, looked so surprised and happy that I was almost embarrassed. I also gave him a hug. Once I was done with the signing of stuff, I started talking to all of them together. I told them how we love Debs having the board there for us and Chris said Debs is the greatest. I also told them they should sneak on sometime and they all just chuckled. They all thanked me again for the gifts (I was the only one to bring them anything and the only one to get hugs!!!) and then the radio guys rushed us out.

The radio station had a photographer there and he is supposed to email us the pictures he took. Once he does, I will post them. Until then, I scanned in the card they all signed and the pass Chris signed.

I wish you all could have been there. Oh yeah – another thing Chris did was to make sure to come over to the kids (there were about 4 kids whose parents had won the contest for them) to shake their hands and thank them for coming. I also noticed Chris was giving his hand a much needed rest from the ink and he was not sporting his trademark =.
