hehe...i created around 15-20 threads in the last weeks about random things.where are they now? i was happy that some of them reached 4th or 5th page...

but they all die eventually and the same old threads return

 

i had to bump my abortion thread like a thousand times

yeah...but if you bump it everyday it's very boring :/ if people not interested in these themes,leave them alone...actually the thing is : all these own threads are only for some people...i just stunned,when i saw there's no thread at the 1st page where i change my minds about x or y

Most of them have sunk to page 2 or 3 already, dear.

 

There is always a great response once I post them, but by the next day the old shit topics have cropped back up and brought mine way to the bottom.

 

I can't keep thinking of decent things to talk about. It's really, really hard.

Ive never really thought of it like that, intentionally making a thread that will be in the first page forever. Is it really possible to do such a thing? Obviously, I mean a thread with substance, 'Pointless Word Association' and 'What are you listening to?' dont count.

 

I dont think its possible to come up with a topic that can keep gaining in discussion, and growing. The point of growing is to come to a conclusion and eventually die (Which is something that should happen to threads eventually, I think) and with a lot of the annoying threads, they dont grow in substance or really anything, therefore they can't die.

 

My real problem is that my threads usually have plenty of growing left to do, but are hidden by the horrible ones.

 

I still think we NEED that forum specifically for Name and Game threads.

Make them sticky's? Thats a lot more complicated then it sounds. Lots of things come into that, such as, when should the topic not be sticky, what topics deserve to be sticky, etc.

 

I think a separate forum is still the only conclusion. If you log on here once a day there are way too many new posts, they go nearly into page 3, I think separating things a bit is the best idea. But Burns isnt up for it. Sigh

Nah, I dont think he's just fussed on the idea, and at the end of the day, its his call on how presentable the forum looks, and Im guessing thats what it comes down to- it would just look slightly more confusing to have two parts of the Lounge.

 

Then again, other parts of the forum are just as confusing, to be honest.
