January 26, 200620 yr From Coldplay.com Wednesday the 25th January saw the second leg of the U.S tour begin in Seattle (congratulations on their impending Superbowl debut!). The support came from the more than capable Fiona Apple, well worth getting there early for. The set has stayed pretty much the same, with a few extras, but went down a storm. Don’t forget to check out our free members area to get updates from the road, courtesy of Miller’s diaries on the Coldplayer. They're playing the MGM Grand in Vegas on the 3rd Feb and I've just seen this.... http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/tix/126825237.html FOR SALE 2 Coldplay Tickets MGM SUPERBOWL WEEKEND What's going on?? If they're playing the Superbowl, that's AWESOME!
January 26, 200620 yr Author Shoot! I'm confused. That Superbowl is on the 5th Feb in Detroit. Whoa! :o
January 26, 200620 yr Wednesday the 25th January saw the second leg of the U.S tour begin in Seattle (congratulations on their impending Superbowl debut!). They were directing that towards Seattle.. Not Coldplay.. lol
January 26, 200620 yr Superbowl is biggest gambling day in America...Vegas biggest gambling city in the world. Coldplay in Vegas just before the game that weekend. They are trying to combine the Coldplay show and game into a mega weekend package thing, Coldplay not at the Superbowl. ;)
January 26, 200620 yr Well, maybe it'll be a pre recorded performance that they'll show during the Super Bowl Pre Show. Oh Coldplay, pleaaaase play the Super Bowl! U2+Coldplay+Rolling Stones=Me Happy. :D
January 26, 200620 yr HOLY SHIT! I just had a mini heart attack! I live like mere minutes from Detroit! Holy crap WOw. That would be so freaking awesome. ok ok I gotta calm down now! :o :o :o
January 26, 200620 yr Author Ooooooooooooh! Geez, I'm thick!   :o   :D :P :D So, the football team are in the final! I thought Coldplay had been invited to play. It's not out of the question is it? They've got a free slot that day...
January 27, 200620 yr Mmmm... I'm not so sure that Coldplay would do the Superbowl. Indeed it'd be quite an awesome change, but everytime I think of Superbowl half-time shows, I always think of overblown affects, cheesy lights and affects, prancing pop stars, and boobs (Sorry, Janet Jackson's breast flying out of her top is still haunting me). Yeah so... Besides, they go enough on their plates with the tour. :) Wait... not to mention that they're BRITISH. I just thought of that. Unless they had another American act with them, that'd be kinda strange.
January 27, 200620 yr The Rolling Stones are playing the Half Time Show and they're british lmfao. I'd rather have them than another repeat of the last few ones. But nothing can top U2 back in 2001. Well. Unless Coldplay played ;) I don't think they'll do this. If anything I think it'd be something like what I mentioned earlier, a pre recording played on TV during the pre show (that's only a little half hour whoop de doo special or whatever prior to the game). Either way, I'll be glad when the Super Bowl's done. I'm so effin' sick of hearing about the Seahawks from my brother
January 27, 200620 yr Haha. I can't stand football altogether anyway. But if Coldplay's being shown, hey!
January 27, 200620 yr Ooo anything with Coldplay on national tv would be great! I was going to try to be one of the ppl that would be on the field for The Rolling Stones at Half Time like part of the crowd, but you needed to go to like 3 practices and have 20 other ppl with you and I just didnt have time with classes to be driving down there from school. oh well. whew I was all flustered there!
