Town or village?

Featured Replies

heh, just wondered which do you prefer...

i love big cities, but village has some magic...if you wanna have some rest you go to village and live there, but in the city you can easily get everything, you can go wherever you want (shops,cinema,restaurant...) big cities are luxurious

i think i'm going with the town, but i want to live later in a small village with my family, very far from big cities, from noise, enjoy the nature...

I'm a city kind of guy... i like to have everything near... :D

yeahhh, i know... but i hope i still have a long road til there... ;)

I dunno but I think that if I lived in a village I'd be happier...I dunno, but I've always had this feeling...I love the naure and calm places so...

Nik......this is a good question.......well..I never lived in a city or town.....I live in a little village.and life is cool on the one hand and bad on the other hand here!Well, cool because it's quiet and calm here.......very relaxing.not as hectic as a town....bad because:You are not anonymous, everybody knows you...that's a big problem for me..........somehow you do not feel free in the things you do!And here are not as much possibilities (free time, infrastrucutre etc...) that sucks.....I'm really looking forward living in a city...you see so many different people there...here you see the same faces everyday!

if you're living in 10-15 minutes from a big town,it's not that boring,i don't need to explain why,Miguel, you know Switzerland as well

that's true... i live in a very quiet place, where you hardly hear noise... and it's just 10 minutes walking from the town's center...

agreed, bit i think when people retire they prefer the opposite of all of these...

for young people it's natural to live in the cities, they have a lot of energy, they feel they can change the whole world, they are ambitious and a big city gives them a lot of opportunitities to realize their dreams...but a village has something special...i mean,it's totally the opposite side, you live your own life,do same things every day, maybe it's boring, but secure and very quiet...

sometimes i just want to leave everything...my dreams,my family,my friends and go to a village with my Coldplay,Radiohead and Sigur Ros cds and just listen to them and enjoy the most beatiful part of this world...the nature

You are absolutely right there Nik!You see there are good and bad sides........I don't kow......I never lived in a city.........maybe if I'll live there in about a year I'll change my opinion!

you should live in a city i think,at least you should try

in a big city you have a very fast life in my opinion...you always have to do something, that's why people become depressive often because of their work

but i still prefer a "big city life" than live in a village,it will change with the years

I can imagine that life is more hectic there in a city........I mean there is always "such a rush" ( :smug: what a pun)............don't know....you look out of the window and see your life just passing by!

unfortunetly i don't know many countries lifestyle... but i really like the way swiss towns are organized...

i mean a town between 15000 and 20000 people has almost everything in the center and you can easily live in the suburbs without trouble...
