Yeah I watched it right after they posted on metpage,I absolutely loved the idea of returning Jason

^Jason was cool right? why they haze him sooo much??? But I kinda do understand cuz of Cliff.He is talented. I dont know why he just couldn't do his side project with EchoBrain, But James was being a dick I suppose.

OMG you guys, I went to Metallica last night. I've seen them 5 times previously, but this was the best. They went all out with the effects. Coffins on the ceiling that moved and had lights and lasers! And even Coldplay-style balls dropping from the ceiling! Check out this video from the night before the show I went to:

Tonight's show in Stockholm has been cancelled due to James falling ill and receiving medical attention at the hospital. The show WILL be rescheduled sometime this spring, so keep watching this space for more details. Oh man, I was so ashamed when people started booing. Of course everyone was disappointed but come on! The band came on stage themselves to tell us and all. No, that was just shameful :shame:

We haven't gotten any new date yet but tickets are valid, so let's just hope James is fine and they'll come back.

 

 

So have any of you seen them? This tour? Interesting to have that huge rectangular stage in the middle of everything. Pros and cons I think, but interesting.

 

Found this interview with Lars Ulrich. Narration in Swedish, but the parts with Lars is in English. It was taped just before the cancelled show and Lars gets the message that James is on his way to the hospital during the interview. Stupid advert first, sorry about that.

I saw them in june last year before World Magnetic tour which was their best tour since black album era,seeing them in Nickelsdorf in june again this year,probably the same day as last year haha

Its not the first they theyre having this kind of a stage,but i dont really like it,because being in front row doesnt really mean anything

Oh, I thought the stage was a new idea, there was so much talk about it in the press here.

I see your point about front row, can't be the same but a lot of lucky people got really close though.

I think the band feeling was a bit lost if that makes any sense. I want to see them play together, they didn't do that so much.

James and Lars are one of my fav composers ever

awesome that metallica have this for their fans. but i do feel for chipotle and all the other fans especially the ones who have spent money on getting to the gig.

 

i dont see why the band couldnt of just jammed for 20 or 30mins. metallica isnt exactly famous for james vocal work so they show would of been just as good if the 3 of them improvised for a bit, maybe played some famous riffs.

they didnt have to do songs as such, simply having a bit of a jam would of made some people happy.
