Hello dear friends. As you remember we put all of our hope in Will's interview last December where he said that Coldplay would come to South America next fall (our spring, actually).

 

Now, the Parlophone guy said "Coldplay are categorically not splitting up. They are on the road until July, when their 16 month X&Y World Tour ends in Japan. They will then be having a well deserved rest before working on their fourth album."

 

So... what about us?????? ending in July???? I think we deserve to see them, probably it's not a band choice, it should have more to do with record labels... We must do something...

 

I was thinking about a petition... I ask if somebody who writes in English better than me can help me :) And ask for your signs and help to spread this around the world! Please COLDPLAY, come to South America!!

"We represent too many fans who want Coldplay concerts in South America during the X&Y tour.

 

We were extremely happy last December, when Will Champion, the drummer of the band, answered in Ken Bruce’s radio show about their 2006 tour plans: “January we’re gonna *put the time off and then we’ll go back to America towards the end and then we’re kinda touring ??? between America and here for the first two months then ??? more time off and then Australia in the summer and South America in the autumn”

Considering autumn starts only in September, this option turned impossible after the announcement in the official website saying X&Y Tour will end on July, in Japan.

 

We are feeling miserable about this situation. Coldplay came to South America only once, during A rush of blood to the head tour (2003), visiting only Brazil. We understand Coldplay is a busy band in both professional and particular life but we sincerely hope that the band, their manager and label consider the suffering of a huge number of fans who desperately hopes not to be forgotten. "

I'm originally form Central America and i'd feel :angry: if bands totally skipped

large continents like South America and did other continents twice :angry: .

Though bands don't come to Central America at all i hope South America can do it! GO GIRLs you can make it happen!!!

Have you guys considered writing to music mags, radio stations, tv dunno try to get it in the spotlight.

also usually when bands tour radio stations and music organisers back them up- maybe in south america this hasn't happened :huh:

I'm from Argentina... and my situation is so bad. Coldplay came to Brazil once, but CP never come to Argentina!!!!! I heard that from Will... I heard that from a lot of argentinian's radios, from a lot of people on T.V....... But I read that in coldplay.com... And I'm so confused!!
