Piano's not hard, but then again I've been playing for 10 years now. I caught on quick though. It's a lot of fun to play!

I wanna start playing guitar. Acoustic first. Anyone reccomend any certain type. I would probly play a lot of coldplay on it, lol.

I think piano will be hard for me, because... I don't know.

I guess I either bought the book because it had a pretty picture of Chris on the front, or I want to work towards it when I start piano lessons.

10 YEARS??? :stunned: wow, i was going to learn as a kid, but i lost interest. i became interested in singing, which i have been doing for roughly the same time(not professionally, of course) i just started with guitar, and i think it is pretty easy...the downside: Finger Cramps!! :laugh4:

that's such a hard question. there lots of things implied...form money to personal taste. my recomendation: go to the music store, try em out.:smug:

I can't sing in front of people.

My mom says I have a good voice, although I'm pretty sure that's just her being a mom. xP

Yea I probly will. I really want to learn. I dont have much time for lessons though. How did you learn?

Usually Fender guitars come with books, I think, and that's what I've been using to teach myself.

^i have an epiphone and its fantastic. i have bought all sorts of books on guitar playing..so i do the edge's style...self teaching method. also, i ask my guitar friends questions whenever i have any.

tabs, really help too

cool. Yea I think I'm gonna have to teach myself.

It's not that hard when you begin, unless you have no musical experience. xP

Well, it's not hard to figure out everything, but it's hard to play, so what you should really do is work on a page a week for at least half an hour a day.

That's what I do, anyway...

g'night ppl...i guess its time for me to ACTUALLY work on my chem lab now. G'night!!

Thank you...

To be honest...I just saw a huge bunch of Hardest Part threads and locked them. Perhaps too rashly and I may have reopened it if it were not for the way I (especially) and the other moderators were treated over the matter. I nice friendly PM expalining why you wanted it open and asking politely would have done.

But instead it was decided that an open thread for all to see bitching about me and inviting others to join in was the way to go. Then that was followed by various snidey, immature little posts throughout the night.

Quite callous, VERY immature and extremely hurtful!

You do not run this section of the forum, you should remember that before you start trying to bully someone into getting your own way.

Haha, yeah, I'm an Edge-styler too. I've been playing for almost 2 years now, and it's working! I've got quite a few books on how to do it, etc etc. It's a lot of fun.

Except for the fact that I cannot play U2 songs AT ALL. Damn Edge and his insane amount of effects!!:P

Talk is really, really easy to play though (the main riff, I mean). That was one of the first songs I ever learned with my electric. And the solo to U2's Party Girl is easy/fun too. I recommend those to mess around with.:D

A dissaponting farewell...

I'm hugely dissapionted with the video for The Hardest Part. First of all they shouldn't have picked it as their 4th single release. Don't get me wrong it is a good song but is not a single material. I think that they should have chosen "Low" and filmed it in the sunkiest parts of London or "Square One" with some great lights and strobos in style with Speed of Sound only more extravagant. The Hardest Part almost seem as a surplus, "we can do whatever we want" video and it is never going to be a Coldplay classic of any kind...Hopes up for the next album and their next single, which might take a while..!

Get rid of the old people, and make the video so people can watch it without scratching their heads too much.

Omg....The hardest Part..was watching the video LOL

I'm shocked , when I saw the video for my favorite song I didn't know whether to cry or laugh.........wtf is with the "miami vice" don Johnson look on Chris ?The only meaning to it all that I can possibly see at this point is that it was directed by Mary Wigmore..........(hmm has a connection to gwenyth for shallow hal) So......the only thought I have right now about this is >>>>>>>>>>>>the word "YOKO" comes to mind..haha

**And Jonny you were right for cracking up..I dunno how you played the whole time !

It's still my favorite song....but I'm not exactly sure what that video does to my head ! haha

Or them just performing in the marina would've been heaven.

that's completely true, victaniac!

when I first saw that tiny picture on the official site, I thought and kinda hoped it would be just them performing... a simple video for a simple song.

I've seen the video this morning... and I really don't like it that much. :( the guys look amazing, though.

ah well, I'm gonna watch it again, and maybe I'll change my opinion. ;)

OMG, i just watched the video now and I was really shocked. I love the song and I saw how the band was having a good 'ol time but the dancers just freaked me out. I found myself turning away when they showed the footage because it was so far from what any1 would think about Coldplay
