just one question TLo, how much memory did you have/bring to the show, cos obviously half a Gb was not enough for me...i wanna know how much to buy for next time!! :)

uhmm i have like 4 Gigs at my disposal [ and three batteries ].. its way too much but i have it mainly for when i go to festivals and dont have anythign to upload to.. obviously.. but i think i used like 1.5 gigs on this coldplay concert.. but only coz the videos are really huge.. well i recorded on the higher quality setting :)

I shot all video in Milwaukee and filled up 2 GB worth of memory.

So everything is finally uploaded.. word of advice: download the bigger files first. they are most worth it.. the other smaller clips i uploaded just coz i figured any video is worth having. uhm u might hear me singing during some of the clips .. only a little bit coz i was like.. oh wait im video-ing lol BUT u WILL definitely hear this GIRL SINGING REALLY LOUD OFF KEY in the background of most of the videos.. i wanted to kil her. especially since she screamed like someone was killing her.. so yeah let me know if u want the bigger files split up into separate files and uploaded.. there are videos where its more than one song. and definitely let me know if u want me to upload the files with another uploading site. i dont mind at all. i just let it upload while im at work anyway :D

TLo!!! Hello, I asked you before about which camera you use, I don't know if you remember.. but we both have a powershot.. I'm just curious at what setting do you keep yours at? Automatic.. indoors? Which works the best for you, or which did you use for the shows?

An interview with Coldplay

 

We spoke with Coldplay band members Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Will Champion and Jon Buckland backstage at Nassau Coliseum in New York before their recent concert. Coldplay was formed in England in 1998. They were all friends from University College London.

 

Q: Does being friends make Coldplay better?

 

Guy: Definitely. I don't think we would be here if we weren't good friends. It is our friendship that helps drag us through hard times.

 

Q: Were your parents supportive of your playing in a band?

 

Chris: Mine were very supportive. We were lucky because we started our band just as we were finishing up at the university. That made our parents a little bit happier about it.

 

Will: They were very supportive, especially when we started making money.

 

Q: Why did you turn down big contracts from companies who wanted to use your songs in commercials?

 

Chris: You guys have grown up in a world so packed with advertising. We didn't want to contribute to that, unless it was something we really believed in. We took that power that we have and used it to advertise for a thing called fair trade... instead of advertising shampoo and chocolate.

 

Q: To help raise Katrina funds you contributed to the song ''In the Sun.'' Who else did you record this with?

 

Chris: I was a very small contributor. It was a song by Joseph Arthur and Michael Stipe of REM. Michael did five versions of that song and I sang 20 seconds on one of those versions.

 

Q: What films have your songs been used for?

 

Will: ''Garden State,'' ''Wedding Crashers,'' ''Insomnia,'' the trailer for ''Peter Pan.'' They have been in a lot.

 

Chris: They've been in a lot of TV shows. It's always good when a couple is breaking up, to play a Coldplay song. We have a song on ''The OC.''

 

Jon: We definitely do. Someone breaks up every week on ''The OC.''

 

Chris: You don't have a boyfriend yet, but trust me, when you do break up, a Coldplay song (makes you) feel a lot better.

 

Q: What is it about the name Coldplay that you like?

 

Guy: We needed a name very quickly.

 

Jon: It didn't have meaning. So we could become the meaning of the name. It doesn't stand for anything else.

 

Q: What influenced your style?

 

Will: The music you listen to when you're young is partly the music your parents listen to. Then you decide what you want to listen to yourself. I liked Bob Dylan, The Beatles, folk music and rock 'n' roll.
