crazyduckette
Im sure you'll be fine Alyssa!!! Hope it goes well for you! I can understand you being nervous though...I used to play clarinet and playing in front of a hall of about 50 people or so was really nervewracking! but I bet youll be absolutely fine!! :)
Jack
Just remember, if you mess up at all... Go mental and break the drumkit, then call it rock and roll. But, you'll be fine! Just incase :P
bohs man
i see your problem, but if your confident in your ability it wont be a problem but try as much to prepare to have some kinda routine,if you can get your mate to record his guitar but for you, listen to it again and again until you feel comforatable with a beat for it and at least if you do make a mistake your friend will be playing so that will help because all the pressure willnot just be on you because believe me if you peform solo and make a mess its terrible (I know happened many times) but ive played with a band and you are less likely to make a mistake because you know you are playing in tandem.Just practice some sort of routine and you will be fine!!!! Hope this helps! Bohs Man.
Best u Can
uhh... I hope they give you time to practice before you just are put out there  because it doesn't seem right that they would just throw you out there in front of all those people
KM
Im sure you'll be fine Alyssa!!! Hope it goes well for you! I can understand you being nervous though...I used to play clarinet and playing in front of a hall of about 50 people or so was really nervewracking! but I bet youll be absolutely fine!! :) Omg... both of us Karas played the clarinet?? :laugh4: I dropped out before our first rehersal though. But that was because I was crap. Alyssa... you on the other hand seem like one of those types of people who good at whatever they do and pull through because of it. If worse comes to worse... steal some beats. :laugh4: Seriously.

ClearAsCrystal
that's nuts! How did you get into this deal?! I just think that you need more practice. I say, take Bohs Man's advice. And also, do whatever it is that gets you pumped up for playing drums, if you have anything

alyssa
sorry this took such a long time to reply to (KM reminded me, lol, and my power just went out a few hours ago), but i backed out. *hangs head in shame* well, actually, i guess someone made the decision for me, :laugh3: i went to the chapel practice the night before we were supposed to perform to see what i could do, and my friend ran up to me, saying that they found someone else to do it, even though i said i would be there to see what i could do... i guess saying "i kinda don't want to" made my friend think that i wasn't going to do it, so she told everyone that i wasn't coming. -_-
