I had a cold for 4 weeks, nothing got rid of it :dozey: :dead:

I have a cold all the time. And I'm used to it.

Anyways, I take some pills, drink tea, stay in bed, wear a cap and a scarf when going out. And the day after this procedure it's better ;)

What pills and tea do you have?

Ā

Well, Strepsils and Preventan (Akut or Quattro), and tea - I think it doesn't matter what tea it is, but I drink black currant tea (my favourite :nice:). I think that you just have to drink something hot.

I suggest:

My body is strong and fights off colds well :)

Colds just have to run the course. Best is to try and prevent them. Wash your hands and avoid large crowds during cold season.

And don't swim naked in the sea on a cold day

And what about having a cold during summer? That's my case.

Is it a cold or allergy?

Ā

It's a cold. I'm not allergic. ;)

I don't get colds. I work at a hospital, so I'm exposed to every germ you can image but I don't ever get sick. I have build up antibodies to everything.

Even MRSA?

Well, you've got an excellent imunity. I don't have as good imunity as you. You can't imagine how stupid it is to have a cold in summer.

I'm exposed to MRSA everyday and most likely so are most of you, you just don't know it. It's really only dangerous to small kids, elderly and immunosuppressed people. Trust me there are bugs much worse than MRSA.

VRE vancomycin-resistant enterococci is rather nasty and much harder to treat than MRSA.

there is none, colds suck

i know you end around, and its really warm and it don't feel good at all

I'm having a cold right now and it's not that bad..was worse yesterday!

When i'm having a cold i just relax, sleep (if i can) and watch tv/movies with some tea. But i'd say sleeping is the way to go for me..and just doing absolutely noooothing

I always let colds run their course, nothing I ever take makes it go any quicker.
