My friend read a theory online that someone has come up with about what the whole thing could be about....

 

It's all about how maybe the island has been created to test out if the human race could continue if something were to happen to earth and everyone got killed. (or something like that! :lol: ) And something about how the island is hidden by some sort of magnetic force shield thing (coming from that thing inside the hatch) so that it can't ever be found and the experiment interrupted.

It was more complex than that, but I cant remember the rest.

except for the fact that you've forgotten the "Next On Lost" bit which shows that they're taking you right back to the start, and are going to show you the last 48 days from the point of view of the tails survivors!!! so you'll end up back at the point where ana lucia shoots shannon
