does anybody else think that the B-Sides on the X&Y singles were the original songs planned for release as that album? cause as much as i like X&Y, to think it could have had gravity and proof on it, i get all giddy inside.

 

also, do you think they will ineveitably do what other bands do and release all their b-sides as one album?

don't think that Gravity would be on x&y, Chris wrote and gave this song to Embrace, so that b-side was a cover actually. Proof? :/ it's not that good to be on the album. if they would work on it more before release, then maybe. personally i think Things I Don't Understand would perfectly fit to x&y, great song. i would replace THP with TIDU.

man, I don't like Proof and Gravity that much, but Things I Don't Understand definately should of replaced THP.

i'm not a big fan of TIDU because it doesn't sound very "coldplayish" ...

 

i'm more into Proof and Gravity and i think they should have made it on the album ... the should've released SITS as a B-side then ...

Eh Gravity and Proof are both a little too slow for an album release, as good of songs as they are.

im not a huge fan of HYSTW at all...i think "the world turned upside down" is totally underrated, so that would be my first pick to go on. then "sleeping sun", most def. and then "proof". and i WISH "ladder to the sun". that almost went on there, so i figure a studio version has to exist in the coldplay vault somewhere. how i wish they'd release it.

 

i cant WAIT for the next album tho. think about all the COMPLETELY NEW STUFF!!

I Agree with awhisper21 "The world turned upside down" is a great song! but I do also think that "How you see the world" should have been been on the X&Y, instead of just on a japanese press :(

I think that Sleeping Sun sounds like something they would do in the future..like for their next album...like their giving us hints of wat its gonna be like... :/ IMO

Well, if you looked closely when Coldplay played "Swallowed in the Sea" live and they had all those writings lit up around the room, you could see somewhat of an "original" X&Y tracklist. I think it started out with Things I don't UNderstand (or was it the world turned upside down?)
