Hey hey! How are you today?

Did you know that you're on here soon?! MTV is going to broadcast Coldplay's BBC gig at the end of August. So everyone will watch you in the audience. :D :P

Hi! I am not too bad, thanks.... I havn't been up to a great deal. Looking for new paint and wallpaper for my room... and scanning more work into the computer.

What about you?

Oh..... the concert on the 18th June?!?! ahhh! :laugh3:

:) Are you looking for your room in High Wycombe or Brighton?

I'm fine. Had my last day at work. I hate to say goodbye. But on the other hand another part of my life will start and I'm very exciting about it. After work I went to the beach -surprise surprise lol. It was sooo extremely hot again here. But this time without any thunderstorms! I took some pictures of the beach when I was leaving at 8pm. Then it was low tide...

My room in Brighton :) It's lilac and green at the moment and I don't really like the green anymore. I saw a shade of paint that I liked, called 'Jazz berry' haha, sounds funny :nice:

Ooooh! The beach! I'm jealous that you have a sandy beach....pebbles are so uncomfortable on the feet, you have to wear sandals into the sea if you don't want to struggle on the pebbles.

"Jazz berry"? That sounds interesting. Do you have a picture of it? :)

Yeah the beach, just 5 minutes away by bicycle. :nice: When I took the picture it was already low tide, but 6 hours ago there's no better place to swim at high tide. :) Hope tomorrow we'll get lots of sun again before I'm going to fly to Dublin in the evening. Will be an interesting weekend for me.

What are your plans for the next couple of days?

Heeeeeey Iris! How are you today? :)

Hi Rick! :) Thanks again for your birthday thread. :D

No worries Lars,it was my pleasure....

Jazz berry colour.

My plans? Tomorrow I might be going for a lunch with my mum and brother in Brighton, on my brother's lunch break. Then, in the evening, it is a friend's birthday, so I might be going to a pub, and then into clubs in Brighton

you?

hey Iris and Rick :) hope you're both good...

Rick! I've just realised you're a VIP over here!! How've you been? I haven't spoken to you in ages.

heyy Kara!

Thanks, I'm okay. Did you find a job in the end?

Laars!!

I'm doing fine. I've just come back from the gym, today was the last day I took Aikido lessons, I'm not going to see my mates in such a long time. And besides that, I haven't been doing much today besides trying to tidy my bedroom a little bit because it's a total mess. Oh yeah, I also remembered to what extent I forget things and I daydream... My teacher lent me a CD and a minute after I had no idea where I had put it :S

I'm fine thanks Iris..what you been up to?

I haven't been doing many things to be honest. At the moment I'm on holidays, so I just relax, go out, go to the cinema... I do the usual stuff that people do when they don't have duties. I'm also arranging the last things for my staying in Aberdeen and that's all. What about you?

No worries Lars,it was my pleasure....

 By the way are you living in Oslo now?

It looks a bit like burgundy. I like it. :) Going out at the weekend's is always great. Have fun!

Aikido lessons? I never heard of it. What exactly are you going there? :) Well perhaps it's a sign that you need holidays. I feel the same after working for 6 months without any days-off. When are you going to Aberdeen?

Yeah i too have been on holiday doing fun stuff and being very lazy....but sadly hols are almost over...i need a new job!!!

I didn't get a job yet, no, Iris :(

I think I will wait until I go back to my university town really..... I'm trying to see about getting a short work placement though in Brighton. I'm prepared to work for nothing, just the experience in a design studio hopefully. I just hope I havn't left it too late for these kinds of companies!! :\

how about you?

Lars...so now, you've finished your job, do you have holidays now?! :)

So where will you go to find a new job then? :)

Yes I have holidays now and I can't wait to travel through Europe hehe. Still haven't pack my bag for Dublin though. I'm too lazy and it's too hot for it. :D

YAY! good for you :) You finished all the exams and work, you deserve a great holiday! :nice:

I know how you feel....when I was going to Glastonbury I didn't pack my bag the day before.... and I went to Radiohead. Then I got stuck in London and missed the last train...so I had to pack my bag about half an hour before I left for Glasto. OOOPS! :laugh3:

Rick.

Holidays almost over? In August? Most people here start their vacations just on Aug, 1st.

Kara.

Hope you get this work placement then!! You've got to think that companies always want to have people who work for nothing as you said and that just want to acdquire some experience.

At first I thought of getting a summertime job because it would amuse me a bit... but afterwards I realised this is going to be the last summer of my life in which I've got 3 months off, so I think it's better to make the most of them instead of spending them working.

Lars.

It's a martial art in which the strength doesn't play any role. It's all about defending yourself from your opponent in a way in which your adversary ends up falling because you make him/her lose its balance. It's really difficult to explain and understand what it really is... People who have been practising this martial art during some time still don't know what to say when they're asked what it is about.

I'm going to Aberdeen on Sept 20th. I still have to book a cheap flight the problem is that there are no direct flights. When will you go to Ireland? Do you have other plans?

Thank you! :) Yeah I can't realize that a new part of life is beginning for me right now. I guess you felt the same 2 or 3 years ago, eh?

Are you kidding me? I bet you forgot some important things, don't you? :D

Please don't think I'm stupid but is it similar to judo then? It sounds very exciting though.

Sept 20th... that's not very far away. Are you already excited about it? :)

I'm going to fly to Dublin tomorrow and two weeks later I'm going to Prague (Czech Republic). I was inspired by "Beirut" lol. I think their music sounds very East European and I'm also impressed about their difficult Slavic languages. Thank God people do speak English and German in Prague lol.

What about you?

Surprisingly, I didn't forget anything! Nothing important. I should have taken more snacks and food, because all food is expensive :\

I hope you have a good time in Dublin.... wave to me from the plane when you fly over....lol!

Lars.

That's what they say, but I have never "tried" Judo, so I can't tell if it's similar to it. Yes, it's interesting, when I'm taking those lessons I feel as if I was in another world, it's so different to everything what I've learnt until now.

Yeah, I'm excited and scared about it at the same time!! At first I was like "I'll go to Aberdeen on Sept" even though I didn't get used to the idea. I couldn't believe this would happen for real, but as the time passes by, I'm realising that of course this is going to happen!!

Tomorrow?! Surely you'll have a nice time there!! Are you serious? You were inspired by mr Condon? That's good to hear!! hahaha :P I think the very same thing about Beirut.

I'm waiting for the last offers but I have no idea where to go. I'd like to go to an exotic place but I want my trip not to be too expensive though. So... I don't know. :(
