Not like, houses :p !

I mean like, watercolors and that.

I am just starting, or i have for a while, but in my own style. Now I am taking classes for it.

Here is the only one I have so far, small enough to scan. The others are on huge canvases and I don't havea HUGE scanner

It's not paints....it's runny colored tissue paper. I do use a paint brush, or small sponge to make the color run and form. The darker spots are india ink.

Beautiful work!

Those are some of my favorite colors. Sort of warm with the reddish pinks and cool with the indigo.

You should frame it. I definitely look forward to more of your paintings.:)

This one is about as big as a sheet of construction paper 8"11" ? or so?...

most of my other ones are on 4'(ft) x 3(ft)' canvases or BIGGER!

So I don't know how to scan them..because they are so large! (IF...my scanner were in working conditions anyway :shifty: )

anyway, thanks kids, for the nice nice comments that make me feel proud.

Marisa, I should frame it, it's just propped up on a desk :stunned:

wow....great picture....

I wish i could paint...but I don't have any sense for colours etc...I mean for light and shadow for example...

Okay...I have been getting into Modern painters.

And I don't reall know of many local exhibits and I don't like looking at art online.

You don't get the same view...you know.

So I decided to start by going to some exhibits at the Galleria (which is the biggest mall here in Houston) because they have some art galleries of painters (local and worldwide)

One place I went to was 'Off the wall' it was really cool. It had paintings and sculptures made by locals. Then I found a store called 'Oh my Godard'

This store is an exhibit to showcase and sell art by a man named Michael Godard (hence the store name)

I was really impressed and the store manager told me as much as he knew about the artist. He is one of the top selling artists in the world right now. He paints much about drinking (martinis, champagne, wine...) BUT he does not even drink!

anyway.

this is my request to you people who see this to check out his work! You wont be disappointed

HERE IS THE LINK TO HIS SITE !!!

http://www.michaelgodard.com/

btw..while we were there, my friend bought one of his paintings for 500 bucks! One of the lesser priced ones! :stunned:

I didnt like the one he chose so much..but its gonna look cool in his place

its from a series called "Don't Drink and Draw" which is kindof ironic because the artist does not drink.

this is the one he purchased :

Crys, that's just A M A Z I N G!!!Congrats for such a wonderful paiting an talent! ;)

Well, I've been having painting classes for more than 4 years and I love it, very, very much...Actually, I can't draw so that's why my paitings get a little bit weird and distorted but I do try...

Did you use an iron to make this painting?Because I used it once and the texture seems to be pretty similar to this one you used... :freak:

Wow, that site is fantastic! There are even olive runners!!! :laugh3: Why is he so obsessed with the drinks?

Strick and rich...Nice one!

  • Author

Livia:  Thank you for you compliments.

I did not know you painted!? :freak:

I didn't use an iron...I don't even know how to do that! (use iron on painting)

If you would like, and if you get the chance...post some of your paintings here

(that goes for ANYONE who is interested in showing your paintigs!...put them here!)

and yes, that Michael Godard guy is obsessed with olives..and I do not know why!
