how come speed of sound is the only coldplay song they ever play on the radio anymore? :confused:

I was at a restaurant in Boston in April and they were playing all Coldplay songs. First Yellow, then Trouble, Speed of Sound, as well as some others. The restaurant owner must've liked Coldplay! :)

Last night I watched "Wedding Crashers" and during one part they used "Sparks" ! And it only just hit me then how much I love that song! Funny how sometimes it takes so long to realise you love a song.

When i was watching Wedding Crashers the other day i was full on waiting for the Sparks scene... then when it came on i said to my sisters and brother who were watching "this songs called sparks and its by coldplay" then my younger sister said "i knew it had something to do with coldplay - you looked way too excited".

 

Anyway, today i was walking in the back yard and bcoz its getting into summer its bindi season... so anyway im walking then i look down and realise that im practically surrounded by bindis and i said, without thinking, "where to, where do i go?" COLDPLAY HAS OFFICIALLY INFILTRATED MY SPEECH!!

I am so tired of having the same arguments with my friends:

a) Coldplay is NOT gay.

b) All of Coldplay's music DOES NOT sound the same.

c) Chris Martin DOES NOT sound like a girl. :rolleyes:

d) Coldplay IS better than half the crap they listen to.

 

Usually the "Coldplay is gay" thing doesn't really bother me but on Monday one of my friends said it so meanly and with much disdain. She was like, "Eh, CP is so GAY!" and **I'm so much better than you your musical taste suck go to hell.** I also hate it when my friends say bad things about Coldplay and can't back it up. I'm so tired of defending Coldplay. Not because I don't want to its just that my friends are to DENSE to comprehend anything or come up with good reasons to hate them. Ok, so you think Coldplay is Gay- what makes them so gay? What song makes them homosexual? What makes them gayer than AKON!?!

See, one of my friends can actually back up why she doesn't like Coldplay because she's listened to all of AROBTTH. But she says that the drummer, Will, ( :nice: ) always does the same beats. I can't really argue that because I don't know much about drumming, but they don't SOUND the same.

 

AND OH MY GOD- Speed of Sound DOES NOT sound like Clocks. The next person to say that to me will seriously get punched in the face (See how much I love them?) I was just thinking about that last night while listening to Clocks on my iPod. And guess what was played next ? :dozey: ...

Oh my god--- you literally took the words right out of my mouth. I said the SAME EXACT THING TO MY MOM YESTERDAY. My friends have horrible music taste! I think this mostly happens in school, high and junior high. After that maybe people start devoleping a vague sense of what music is utterly horrible and what is not...? And today this boy said, Coldplay is really good, and i thought "oh my god, I love you" and then he said, but the singers voice is too whiny. So I had an outrage and shouted "He's cooler than you'll ever be!" and got up and left.

There are these 2 kids at school that call me Coldplay, because I was listening to one of there CDs one day. My best friend and I Love Coldplay...but her husband and my landlord, and so-called friend hate them...life can be so cruel,lol. I could marry a guy who didn't like them, but he'd have to be 100 percent perfect in every other way,lol.
