does anybody else on here read comic books?

Yeah I like to read comics, but only Star Wars ones. I can't get into the Super Hero comics, because I really don't like that stuff.

I buy the futuramana and simpsons comic every month, just because it's a habit.

I'm a HUGE comic book fan. When I was younger I used to but Superman, Fantastic Four and Daredevil's comics. But now they stopped selling them here.

So, I download them. :P

I hear there's this 'Civil war' thing going on, which is supposed to be very interesting..

I´d love to revive this thread, if there are some comic book readers/fans in here :)

I own five comic books - X-Men, The Avengers + X-Men and three Disney ones. Not exactly a big fan (I prefer 'normal' books), more like a casual reader. I did enjoy what I read from the X-Men + The Avengers one (haven't finished it yet) ;)

There aren't any comic book stores here so I have to use Youtube to read the newer ones. But, book stores sell trade paper backs so I can read all the big stories :) I have:

I never really got into Batman, though I like the character and all the Bat-gear :D I do read it occasionally if its a crossover.

 

Not sure how I feel about the upcoming Batman vs Superman movie....I don't like when heroes get pitched against each other, seems just wrong :)

I totally get you! I hate it when people always see this rivalry between them, I just see them like best friends, with one of them being the overly optimistic one and the other the perfect opposite, being a broody depressed brilliant asshole ahah. Even in the comics they have the most fun when they're doing missions together and having stupid inside jokes :cheesy: And now this movie comes along and let's them fight. Oh wow, fighting Superman, either way you have Kryptonite or you're fucked, even as Batman. I really hope the movie won't turn out 100% Frank Miller and they become friends in the end after all. Otherwise I'm sure I'm not gonne like it very much...

@Batman Im with you 100% there! I read a few comics with Batman and Superman and they were indeed fun! The way they co-operate and work as opposites like you said :) I would have liked a movie based on that dynamic, but this rivalry just seems stupid...an excuse to have big things explode on screen and dramatic battles :whatever:

 

And yes Kryptonite is truly Superman´s only achilles heel hehe So not a lot you can do with that in terms of thinking up creative ways for them to battle.

 

Btw I know a lot of people who didn't like Man Of Steel, but its probably my favorite Superman movie, despite its flaws. :)

Just finished an old annual of IDW X-Files comics. Really good! And the illustrations are awesome. Im thinking of getting the whole series one day
