Chris Martin To Perform At Beverly Hills Event

Featured Replies

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin gets some time off diaper duty May 20, when he'll perform in honor of his friend Alex Wallau, president of ABC Network Operations, at a Beverly Hills event benefiting UCLA's Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation.

Called A Taste of Napa, it's being chaired by Disney Chief Bob Iger, his wife, Willow Bay, and Bon Appetit's Barbara Fairchild. Wallau, a cancer survivor himself, is a passionate advocate for advancing cancer research. We can expect a huge ABC/Disney celeb contingent, natch, for the event. Confirmed already are Eva Longoria, Patrick Dempsey, Ellen Pompeo, Matthew Fox, Muhammad Ali, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Smits, Al Michaels, and Eduardo Xol.

No word yet on whether Mrs. Martin -- Gwyneth Paltrow -- will be attending or home with new baby Moses and sister Apple.

yay chris is coming back to california! :smug:

so this event is private or public? the other day, a friend told me that some LA radio station was going to give out tickets to go see "coldplay" or somewhere among those lines...

wait..it's not like he's only going to perform right? no one else?

Hmm.. the article only mentions Chris Martin. But you know how it goes.. to alot of people "Chris Martin" alone is somehow "Coldplay".

It was a strange article. I guess there will be fallout before the 20th with more info.

yeah..but i do somehow think chris is going to be on his own on this one, since will's in expectation.

Yeah.. I guess under the circumstances (Will's baby.. Jo being pregnant.. the guys being in vacation until June to begin with) it's okay if it's just Chris. It's Chris' buddy afterall, anyway.
