Oh man...all because of the history lesson today....

 

we watched this film about Hitler etc....

 

and then they showed some parts of a film by Nazis when they just showed those handicaped persons...mentally handicaped....

they showed them like monsters so that people believe they are monsters...and it was so horrible...

 

the stood in front of the camera without knowing what really happens to them...and all this just because people should have believed that they have to be killed...

 

I can't describe how horrible it was...really....I got a bit sad when i saw it...

 

they manipulate the pictures just to make them look more like monsters....

they did this with light effects....

 

I hope i won't dream bad tonight...

 

so awful...

 

I even get a strange feeling when i think about it...

I don't get it, who made the video and who was going to kill them?

It was a documentary about Hitler...and they showed parts of a Nazi film which was published then...they said all those handicaped persons should be killed because they are not necessary in the world...and so they made this film...with real handicaped persons...to expose them...so that people believed they are not necessary and like parasits...

well that's cruel. the cruel truth is really they do depend on us to live, but we have no right to murder them if they really do have a life even if they entirely depend on other people to live.

Well you should. It shows there was good and bad on all sides. What the subject of the film survived was incredible....................................you would think it was impossible.

I'm not surprised.

I've seen quite a few movies about Nazism terror "Life is beautiful" "The pianist" "Den Blodiga tiden" (Bloody era), the last one was a doccumentary, all real filmation, in black and white plenty of images of moribund jew people in a Poland getto during the war, the inhumane threatment they got. I'm very amazed of how in history knowing all the rights and liberty the nations of the world preach today something like that could happen, how a megalomaniac man with strange ideas wanted to change the world by his point of view and could do this leading whole nations against others, against races, etc. ! :confused:

Life is Beautiful is a crushing movie,I cried my ass of while watching it and so I did during The Pianist,those last scenes with the guy trying to get through are amazing.

my parents watched a movie about the when Japan invaded China. It was a gruesome movie showing the torture etc. They didn't want us to see it, didn't end up watching it...(not exactly a popcorn kinda movie)

Ah, okay... I think I get it.

 

Night's a great book written by one of the survivors... what he went through and realized about what he and his people had become because of the conditions they had to deal with... it's heartbreaking, one of the best books I've ever read.

about a kid named David who runs and hides escaping from a concentarion camp.

Another really good book is Corrie Ten Boom's "The Hiding Place". It's her recollections of being sent to Aushwitz (sp?) prison camp for hiding Jews. I really liked it because although she sees some of the worst that humanity is capable of, she still has a very life affirming view of the world.

 

Yeah, I can imagine that propaganda film was pretty horrible. That's the worst of the sort of thing that happened when people started applying darwinism to humans, egged on by a madman. Probably some of the darkest days in human history.
