They will be helping the tax payers, by gaurding our borders. but we have enough Guarsmen to do both.

so they are going to be fighting a bogus war, "stopping" illegal immigration, AND helping the country when in need? seems like a heavy burden on these men. There werent enough to help with Katrina, what makes you think there will be enough now?

Bush isnt going to far right or left on this issue. thats what i like about it, he's pissing off both sides, which shows its fair. he didnt go far right and want to kick out every illegal but didnt go to left and wants to borders to be open.

I agree.... but this doesn't seem like the most feasible plan.. and what about the ones already here.... doesn't solve that problem.. I think there has to be a better way....

Yeah it would be nice if there was a better way, but so far bush's plan is the best. it would be best to secure the border 100% and make the illegals already in our nation legal and do our best to not allow anymore in. but the goverment probably wont do that.
